Is the right to work extended while an ILR application is pending?

My spouse has a tier-2 dependent visa with the right to work until Jan 26. On Dec 25, we'll apply for an ILR. Since the ILR processing time can take longer than a month, the application may not be approved when the current right to work expires. My understanding is that while the ILR application is ...

Re: Left my BRP at home, what to do?

Update: The airline gave me no issues; they didn't even ask to see the BRP, even though they asked if I was a resident of the UK. The UK border was weirder. The officer was very nice and said it was not a problem that I only had my old BRP since it expires at the end of the year. The weird part was...

Re: Left my BRP at home, what to do?

Has anyone ever tried it? I read some concerning options about applying for a time-one replacement BRP, which includes getting a biometric appointment abroad and waiting for up to three weeks.

Left my BRP at home, what to do?

I have recently got my ILR, and have travelled outside the UK. Unfortunately, I took the old BRP with me and not the new one. I read somewhere a suggestion to have someone mail the BRP to me. This sounds risky as it could get lost, and would require me to extend my stay outside the UK. What is my be...

Re: Which endorsing body for a university letter?

Thank you.

I am in Computer Science, so I guess this still leaves Royal Academy of Engineering, Royal Society, and The British Academy.

Not sure how to pick between them.

Re: Which endorsing body for a university letter?

That makes sense, thank you!
How should I decide which body to ask for an endorsement?

Which endorsing body for a university letter?

Good afternoon, forum folks :D . I am currently on a tier-2 visa and would like to switch to GTV. I received an endorsement letter from my employing university, that looks something like this: https://i.imgur.com/zQfVpa0.png When filling the application, I need to choose an endorsement body from the...

Moving to the UK - customs

We will be moving soon to the UK.
What should we expect at the customs?
We have clothing, some (in use) electronics such as laptops, camera, etc.

Does it make a difference if we arrive with everything in our luggage or if we ship it?

Thanks for the answer, @CR001!

I see that my other post was merged into this one.
Why is that? These are separate questions?

Tier 2 dependent IHS charge - can I pay it before getting my own visa?

I am applying for a tier 2 (general) visa, and have got to the point where I need to pay the IHS surcharge for myself and my spouse. On my spouse's form, it asks for the "Visa expiry date". Does it mean that we can only pay my spouse's surcharge while my own visa is approved and I get an e...

Tier 2 visa IHS doesn't show my spouse

I am applying for a tier 2 (general) visa, and have got to the point where I'm supposed to pay the IHS charge. Despite explicitly listing my spouse in the visa application, and marking that she will be traveling with you to the UK, the IHS form shows that "You don't have any dependents". I...
