Simpler to apply online as then no original documents are sent and you would have booked a biometric appointment as part of the process

Postal it can take a few weeks for payment and biometric letter etc as I believe parts of UKVI staff are still WFH.
Thank you very much for your replies

Re: Address for MN1

Thanks for the answer.

Yes the father is mentioned on the birth certificate.

Can he use my address to apply as the child lives with me? He might not get the certificate at his address as he lives in a share house and sometimes doesn t find his letters.

Re: EU scheme and mn1 application of a child who will be born in the Uk

I think the best way will be not to link it.after all according to the british law a child is entitled to register as a british citizen after either parent get settled, ilr or permanent residence if the child was born here. Re: EU scheme and mn1 application of a child who will be born in the Uk

Hi SheilaM,
Thank you for replying.

If i understand well, does this mean that the father doesn t have to link the child with his Eu scheme?
I am scared that if he doesn t,the child will be stateless as i can t get my own country passport to the baby cause in my country it is the law of soil.
