Thanks ppl. Validity of OCI card is always lifelong and the card holder is permitted to live and work without any restriction of days/month/years.

payments have been deducted within a day or for some of them within a week...this is all because of holiday period. they have to work through thelot applications and as i said earlier december things move very slowly.

I feel the automated message is for the payments and applications receive by HO during that period anddoes not mean its actually passed to the case workers.
I know another guy who has posted around 5th - 15th dec and waiting for decison.

I think the numbers are in no particular order.
Office rreceived my app on : 10th DEC
Money deducted: 11th DEC
Got Reference num: 15th DEC

Im still waiting for the decision, applications are taking time due to holidays.

My ref number starts from 24****
