The guidance is poorly written, but HSMP holders will be extending into Tier 1 and not switching.

Re: Shoot mail..as the norm..copeid stuff from earlier poste

Dear Sir, I went through the circular and the new set of guidelines, and still unable to make out definitely whether I'll fall under new rules or old when I process my visa for extension. If you look at the guidance and new release, it only mentions about extension applications under Tier1, which a...

Do your statements clearly show that the relevant funds were maintained from the 16th of December onwards?

Hi suds19 and debz, thanks a lot for your replies. Iam also worried that the printouts are only black and white in plane paper and not in colour. Is there any requirement that the company logo should be in appropriate colour in payslips ? Sorry if it is a dumb question. It'll probably be OK if it i...

That's probably a fairly accurate translation! :D

Have you checked with your university/employers/etc. to see if they are delaying your application by not replying to a home office enquiry.

In that case, you have nowt to fear, as the UKBA will probably take at least 6 weeks to decide your application.

Re: Proof of Maintenance funds - Sample letter from bank

Hi all, Because my bank account is tied to my home loan (see http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=36628), I'm concerned that the clearance officer will misinterpret my bank statements. Hence I'd like to provide evidence of availability of funds by providing an official letter from my ba...

hi , I am submitting my Tier 1 (General) Migrant application on 20 MAR 2009. I am claiming points for the Previous Earnings attribute for 12 months during the period MAR-2008 to FEB-2009. The clause for the previous earnings attribute says that official tax documents must cover the entire period fo...

The answer is in a number of other posts on this message board, but you need not panic. The guidance at present is that exiting HSMP/Tier1 holders will not be affected by the ruling when it comes to renewal.

Oh Hell!

The bank usually does not take too long to refund the money, so hopefully you'll still be OK. You can always get the bank to write a letter on your behalf and also submit the crime reference number when you do make your application.

The last year i had applied for a student extension it took 5 months for them to decide. That is 4 months on top of my previous expiry. I know there are ppl here who applied in...

Your bank will ask you to report the incident to the police. You need to do this and following your report, you'll be issued with a crime reference number. You'll need to then take the number back to the bank from where they will get their own Fraud Squad to investigate. You should probably be refun...

You can apply using any 12 month period within the last 15. You do not have to show earnings for each month, but rather that you qualify for points in that period. So, in your case, you could use the period of 01/01/2008 - 31/12/2008 and claim for your earnings in that period, regardless of whether ...

If it's Tier 1, only the original passport will be needed. Driving Licences will not be accepted. You will need to submit this anyway, to show your original entry stamp, etc.

From the sounds that the UKBA are making, the rule changes will not apply to existing HSMP/Tier 1 Holders. Therefore, this will not affect you and should be able to reapply without the Master's requirement in 2010 (assuming, of course, that no other retrospective rule changes are implemented in the ...
