Re: Updating presettled to settled status

That’s why I thought pre-Settled status could not be extended in any case, but as you found that paragraph on the caseworker guidance suggesting it can, I’m curious to know in what cases this extension applies.

Re: Updating presettled to settled status

That’s interesting, it might open a series of consecutive pre-Settled statuses for people who have difficulties in converting to settle status, for example people who don’t work and their bills are in other people’s names. I doubt it. Remember that to get Pre-Settled Status people still need to pro...

Re: Updating presettled to settled status

I am an EU citizen working in the UK since 2014. I hold pre-settled status since 2018 and I want to change it to settled status. It is unclear to me how to change this status. I can view my pre-settled status online which is ok till 2023. Nevertheless, I want go abroad for a longer period so I want...

Re: Entering the UK with a sharecode

Just an update, I was able to complete the Ryanair online check-in using an ID card number, no share code was requested.

Re: Entering the UK with a sharecode

Actually the Ryanair online check in service still has the same ID card option for flights well into October, without any extra requests (share codes etc.).
So at the moment you can still print a boarding pass in the normal way.

Re: Entering the UK with a sharecode

At the end of the day, those who will need the ‘friendly chat’ with an officer will be people travelling with ID cards and Non-EU nationals relying on EUSS permits, basically the people who can’t use egates. In this case a share code could be useful in my opinion, along with other evidence like prin...

Re: Entering the UK with a sharecode

But if all EU citizens can use egates, including visitors, it seems a share code isn’t needed at all with a valid passport.

Re: Uk/Eu dual national and Withdrawal Agreement

So, with a combination of using an eu National ID card and a Uk passport, which one would I present at the UK airport and at the EU airport?

Re: Uk/Eu dual national and Withdrawal Agreement

But with a UK passport how do I make sure it doesn’t get stamped when travelling to the EU country of which I’m also a National?
I think that the hurry of the current Government to end the transition period is leaving many questions unanswered.

Re: Uk/Eu dual national and Withdrawal Agreement

Thank you for the answer. I’m not naturalised in either citizenship so I don’t have that certificate. Also, as I don’t travel to extra-eu countries I’d prefer to avoid the costly and lengthy procedure to apply for a British passport from abroad, but instead use a National ID card as provided in the ...

Uk/Eu dual national and Withdrawal Agreement

Because the Settled Status scheme is not available to dual nationals ( logically as UK nationals are not subject to Immigration control), but the Withdrawal agreement covers dual nationals who have exercised freedom of movement rights, what provisions are being put in place to prove this status for ...
