Re: applying dependent Tier1 visa from India

Hi, My husband is in UK on Tier1 visa. I am in India and want to apply for Tier1 dependent visa (from India) and then join him in UK. I saw the latest application forms on UKBA site. In the application form, it is mentioned that all applications should be sent to Durham office in UK. Does that mean...

If i hand over the passport to british consulate then how soon can i get the passport.
Anywhere between 3 to 5 weeks (6 weeks in worst case).
Don't plan urgent travel if you intend to apply for EC and vice versa.

You can show the same account, but not the same funds. If you show 2800 GBP in may june and july in account A for yourself, and then show same 2800 GBP in aug, sep, oct in account A for your dependents, this would be equivalent to using deception, and would be easily caught. To be more specific, if ...

Common sense says that, if you show GBP 100 as maintenance funds for you, then you cannot show the same GBP 100 for your dependents. Same applies to dependents: if you show GBP 100 for your wife, you cannot show the same GBP 100 for your kid (if you have any). E.g. Account A has balance GBP 2800. Yo...

Yes you can, but you cannot apply an uplift of 5.3 to Indian salary earned while you were in uk.

Also read Tier 1 policy guidance notes for knowing what type of allowances are eligible to be included in "past earnings" and which allowances are not.
