There is no need to worry, you can provide this explaination in cover letter with your application. As the money was from your salary only (converted to FD and then back to your account), this is a legitimate transaction, and hence no reasons to worry.

Don't rely on information given by VFS (actually even they are unaware of the exact rules most of the times). As I suggested in http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=28506, email BHC your queries for sure and definite reply.

IELTS or any other approved tests is the only way. Sorry, (right now) there is no other way to satisfy english language requirements (if your degree does not appear in English language section of BIA calculator).
