He is naturalised as a British. So he has to give his current passport and naturalisation certificate. Is he required to send the passport he entered the UK with? If so, then it was lost, so is he required to send the original police report? Also, it says on that guide if you were born overseas then...

What supporting documents are you required to send to IPS for applying for first passport for my husband who was born outside UK before 1983?

My husband retrieved positive news about the BC and were going to book for citizenship ceremony. I wish you all the best! I guess the long wait is ridiculous but it when you recieve good news it kind of goes away.

He was in this country with a 5yr WP visa. He applied for a spouse visa which granted him to stay for 2 years and then he applied for ILR and it was granted. I have a british nationality but he doesnt. Based on that we applied for BC. Therefore, why cant he apply for BC?

Ana ali, i know right. Its very frustrating as to why it is taking so long? When others are getting their BC less than 6months! Unlike us, we are having to wait for a year or more by the look of things!
