Right to Work Website after naturalisation

Hey guys, After over 6 months I got my citizenship done. Yay? I was part of the late May/June batch that seemed to have a lot of delays. Anyway, after I returned my BRP, using signed for and tracked, I checked Royal Mail and noticed that the letter hasn't had any status update after I dropped it at ...

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

My Application is taking longer i guess Your guess is wrong. Currently average time for waiting is ~132 days, while you're waiting only 109 days. If you don't receive a decision by the end of November, you can say it's taking longer. I hope he got the year wrong, he put 2017 instead of 2021... if h...

Re: SAR and checks

SAR results don't include any results on the checks done, 90% of the case notes are also redacted (blacked out). The most I saw on my SAR under the checks requested section was: BIOGRAPHIC, BIOMETRIC AND AC2. Large portions are blacked out and there's no detail at all about the results. I think SAR ...

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

I've been waiting over 4 months since application and it's been interesting checking this forum from time to time. I've noticed that there are quiet periods where people don't report approvals and then all of a sudden we get a wave of people getting approvals over the same weekend. I've trained myse...

Re: Middle Initial on US Passport & BRP

My 2 cents: If e-gates are open, then she can come in without questions asked, even if the name doesn't match in the system for her ILR she'll be allowed entrance as tourist in the system and once you get the citizenship and name changes are sorted it won't matter. If e-gates are not open or it refe...

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

i had a 16 digit UAN and applied in May, 2021. did not receive any email notification about the approval. so this theory is debunked that if you have a 16 digit application no. you get email about the outcome of the application. they posted a letter to me asking to book a ceremony. Sorry but this i...

Re: Absences SAR request

I requested my SAR in order to double check my dates too and some of my entries/exits were missing. Most notably the ones through the euro channel. When I took a second look I realised that the data they sent me is just what the advanced passenger information system that airlines use sent to Border ...

Re: Wife Rejected Citizenship - Next Steps

I can add two bits of information I learned recently. I submitted my application earlier this year and I suspected I made a mistake in one of my travel dates, it was a minor 1 day difference, not above any absence limits at all but I wanted to be thorough so I submitted a Subject Access Request and ...

Re: Leaving UK on a non-UK passport after receiving citizenship.

It's worth pointing out that the future intention requirements is only (legally) relevant to people applying under 6(1) but not under 6(2) 6(2) refers to spouses of British Citizens. The spouse of a BC shouldn't be refused a naturalisation application based on future intentions alone and, in my opin...

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

Hi all So I'm approaching 2 months since my AN application and I wanted to comment on SAR times. When I submitted my application I reported all my travel dates and after biometrics I realised that one of the dates I reported might be wrong by one day (I traveled on day 10 and I typed 11) because I k...

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

I read this too while scanning the BNA 1981. It peaked my interest as I'm from a Country where the Queen is Queen. Other parts of the act also mention that these citizens should also be considered citizens from the day of the registration (rather than the ceremony) but it seems like we're just bundl...

Hi, I have received my ILR (Set M route) a couple of months ago and have applied for citizenship. My husband is a British citizen. Re: Naturalization after husband dies

I think you need to have 5 years living in the UK if you're not currently married to a British Citizen. I'm sorry for your loss but being a widow(er) doesn't let you apply under the 3 years residence requirement as far as I know. If the above is correct then you will have over 12 months with ILR whe...

Re: Confirmation of successful application by phone?

Considering how difficult it is to speak to anyone relevant over the phone from UKVI or Home Office (Case workers or anyone that can let you know where your file is at) I find it really hard to believe they would actually call you. I've never had to call them but I've read stories from other people ...

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

I just submitted my app 10 days ago and been tracking the timelines thread since the start of June. It seems like more and more people are not getting an approval letter and get a ceremony invitation with longer average waits. Just a theory for now as there's no way to know if they've changed the pr...

Hi all, Got a tip from my experience this month in the London area. I went through Spouse of BC ILR application (submitted 3/Jun) and I couldn't find any appointments below £112. The earliest appointment I managed to find was on the 22nd. ILR came through the same day and BRP was received on the 25t...

I had this issue with my FLR (M) application 2 years ago. Paid whatever the equivalent of Super Priority it was at the time (24 hour response) and it took them... 6 weeks or so. I had to write to my MP twice and then claim the refund for the priority service which came through. I'm applying for ILR ...
