Re: EU1A form, countries visited

Thanks, I was just really unsure because my passport doesn’t get stamped every time I go to the UK. It depends on the airport but often it was treated like a domestic flight. I think I figured out every time but my partner has travelled to the UK far more than myself so he was concerned about missin...

EU1A form, countries visited

Filling out the EU1A form and my partner and I both have to list every country we have gone to in the last 10 years. We haven’t lived in Ireland for 10 years so I’m not sure how to fill this out. Do I have to indicate each time I have entered Ireland when I lived in Ireland? How about entering Canada...

Re: EUTR1A form missing

Would I fill it out if I was, for a time (about 6 months), financially dependent but I am no longer nor was I for the majority of our relationship? Also, regarding the checklist: do I need to have every single thing? My partner won't have 2 payslips plus another one for the employer declaration for ...

Re: EUTR1A form missing

Sorry for the delay in reply. We are finally applying because my partner became employed. Question: do I need to fill in Section 1D, for applicants who are dependents and/or members of the household? I am confused on this part.

EUTR1A form missing

Hello all, I've posted on here before about how I will be applying as the de-facto partner of a British citizen who has been exercising treaty rights before Brexit. However, the EUTR1A form is gone and I cannot find it online. Was it removed? I cannot find anything stating there was a change, but no...

Re: Can I apply for work permit and a stamp 1G at the same time?

My 1G took awhile, from 29 Sept to 8 Nov, received it in the mail about a week later. It is done online like a renewal.

Re: Travelling with IRO card that will expire during trip

As an update: I got the email for my IRP card today so I have about month now until I leave. Took only 5 weeks but some people’s applications took closer to 7 it sounds like. Unsure if they are trying to go faster now or if my two emails that I sent helped the process along.

Re: Travelling with IRO card that will expire during trip

I will be back after January 15th unfortunately, so I won't be able to avail of the extension. Currently, I am thinking if I don't get it in time that my partner will have to mail me my card as I am very concerned they won't let me back in the country otherwise.

Travelling with IRO card that will expire during trip

Hello all, I recently sent in a change of stamps from Stamp 2 to Stamp 1G on 29 September. I believe at the time the processing times were stated to be 3-4 weeks. I have heard that for right now it’s 5-6 weeks (anecdotally) but their website says 7-8 working weeks. I am very stressed out that my IRP...

Re: IRP extension until 2022 and travel abroad

I'm really afraid, I need to travel on 10 December and I'm hearing 10-12 week processing times. I submitted my application on 29 September.

Re: IRP renewal for the spouse of Irish national

I submitted my application for a Stamp 1G from a Stamp 2 on 29 September. I hope I get it by the end of October because I am interviewing for a job and I think I have done well in the interviews but if I don’t get my 1G in a month’s time I worry they won’t hire me. Also, since everyone’s permissions...

Re: Marrying UK partner resident in Ireland, currently non-EEA stamp 2 permissions

Thanks, yes that makes sense, especially since it might take 9 months or longer for the application to be processed. I talked to INIS and they said there shouldn’t be a problem to apply in 2022 if necessary but my partner’s passport should be back in three weeks, I just sent off my 1G application (a...

Re: Marrying UK partner resident in Ireland, currently non-EEA stamp 2 permissions

Do you think they will give me grief for applying for a Stamp 1G then submitting a EUTR1A? And does my partner need health insurance? It sounds like he does and I need to be on it but I have my own private health insurance for my stamp 2, and he never needed private before. Can I put him on mine?

Re: Marrying UK partner resident in Ireland, currently non-EEA stamp 2 permissions

He’s doing teaching assistant work currently and even though it’s casual pay (with no formal contract) it is recorded in revenue. He does have a large savings in a UK account he received as an inheritance, I don’t know how much he needs though for that to be useful in this case (but we could live on...

Re: Marrying UK partner resident in Ireland, currently non-EEA stamp 2 permissions

Well, it’s casual work. His university (he is a teaching assistant) does not provide employment contracts even though students have been asking for them. I don’t know if that counts. Also, I guess I’m worried that the woman I’m speaking to is wrong about the income requirements since litlerr was pos...

Re: Marrying UK partner resident in Ireland, currently non-EEA stamp 2 permissions

So INIS said that there isn’t even an income minimum requirement, just that my partner needs to have a job. But I keep asking if I can apply in 2022 and they just keep not answering my question. Finding work is difficult and I fear that I may be getting incorrect info about the minimum income from t...

Re: Marrying UK partner resident in Ireland, currently non-EEA stamp 2 permissions

1. If the UK person has been exercising their EU Treaty Rights prior to the start of a de facto relationship , can a partner still get in under EUTR1A? i.e. the UK person exercised their EU Treaty Rights prior to 31 December 2020, but the de facto relationship begins after this time. 2. If not, if ...

Re: Marrying UK partner resident in Ireland, currently non-EEA stamp 2 permissions

Well, the application can't be started until he finds work and gets his passport back anyway. I mentioned Denmark as an option, but we wouldn't be able to go until he had his passport for that too.

Re: Marrying UK partner resident in Ireland, currently non-EEA stamp 2 permissions

I asked this same question and no, you need to have been in a de facto relationship prior to Brexit. This isn't a problem for me, as we had been cohabiting for years prior to Brexit. I think post-Brexit falls under the new visa scheme, where the family cannot be residing in Ireland for the applicati...

Re: Marrying UK partner resident in Ireland, currently non-EEA stamp 2 permissions

Okay, great. He's in the active process of looking for work, and we'll have to wait anyway until he can get his passport (which may take awhile, we're not sure about the processing times for British passport renewals), and I need to get an old passport from my parent's home in Canada etc. So I think...

Re: Marrying UK partner resident in Ireland, currently non-EEA stamp 2 permissions

When I contacted INIS, they told me this: "Can you please confirm if the UK National was exercising their EU Treaty Rights in Ireland before Brexit. This can be through employment, self-employment, involuntary unemployment, residing with sufficient resources and study." I assumed that just...
