Re: Spouse Visa and Child Right of Abode (CoE)

I believe your son will still not be a British national as he won't have a British passport or Certificate of Naturalisation. However, he will still enjoy the same rights as a British Citizen in terms of immigration and work in the UK. I would probably not state he was a British citizen in your wife...

Re: Spouse Visa and Child Right of Abode (CoE)

Thanks for your detailed reply. I became a British Citizen By Naturalisation in 2016. I know CoE is more expensive. I am thinking of applying for CoE instead of a passport because the wait time is a lot more. Is there any other negative consequence related to CoE. Regards, Noman I'm still unsure of...

Re: Voided and re-directed?!?!?!

You know there is progress on your application. . Sure doesn't feel like it. She asked questions we already answered in the paperwork that they've had since the end of March. In 2 days it will be 6 months since her biometrics. And the guy at UKVI ended our communication so in order to ask anything ...

Re: Confusing question on Accommodation (Spousal Visa)

Hello everyone. I am a Ghanaian applying for a spousal visa to join my wife in the UK. She currently lives in an HMO (different households) but has a large room to herself . We have met all requirements but I am bit confused about the some of the accommodation-related questions. For the question, D...

Re: Spouse Visa - Keep My Passport

Hi, I hope someone can answer my question, have googled everywhere and found no answer. I am about to apply for a Spouse Visa UK from oversees. I am resident in Italy but already in possession of 5 year a Business visitor UK visa (still 2 years validity). I will apply next week and will attend the ...

Re: Bit confused so Gurus please help

this is VSF claiming but i am not getting any answer from UK VI. I did raise a paid query online like 5 days ogo but still I did not head back from them. Do they usually take that long to respond? Think they are just busy, consider the HO is dealing with a lot of visa applications (Afghanistan situ...

Re: Spouse Visa and Child Right of Abode (CoE)

As you are a British Citizen a few different questions. Were you born in the UK? Or did you obtain ILR and nationality through your own 5 year visa process (and not relied on your parents British nationality to gain your own after being born abroad)? If yes to either, your child is eligible for a Br...

Re: Bit confused so Gurus please help

Non priority I have to say I'm astonished at the speed at which your visa application was processed. Jealous in fact! As for your question, from browsing the forum almost every day for the last 2 months, these sorts of mistake emails are sent by UKVI quite often. It seems like you've done all the s...

Re: Withdrawing and Re-Applying

To clarify the responses above, I put in a second application a few hours later after making the corrections and it was fine. Even though the cancellation page states that they will let you know if the cancellation was successful, I think you can just ignore that and treat it as cancelled. The refun...

Re: ILETS help?

I agree with the above. Just resit the exam, obviously that's more money but it seems to be less hassle than the appeal process and more time consuming. Get the right result and then appeal the previous test result and maybe they will refund it if they find an issue? Good luck

How long you guys waiting for my decision has been made since 24th June still did not receive my passport
If a decision was made that long ago, I think you should contact the HO via email (cost £2.74) to understand what's going wrong in the process.

You will need to meet the adequate maintenance requirements to prove you have enough money to sustain your life after your partner arri...

Re: Settlement Visa

Yes, that is for standard timeline. I’m worried because I have paid extra £600 pounds for the priority. So if it is getting delayed there is no point of applying for priority. Thats the reason we are worried about now. We even tried to contact UKVI to know the progress but there was no response fro...

Re: IHS fee for spouse visa

I recently paid for my wife's application in PKR. On the day it cost me £1584.66 for the visa fee and £1947.79 for the IHS fee. Not sure if I will be getting a refund for the overpayments as I did everything I could to make the price as accurate to the conversion as possible. Just seems like the UK...
