Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

i had a 16 digit UAN and applied in May, 2021. did not receive any email notification about the approval. so this theory is debunked that if you have a 16 digit application no. you get email about the outcome of the application. they posted a letter to me asking to book a ceremony. Sorry but this i...

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

I got the 16 digit code if its the code with 4 x 4 numbers.... got it when i logged into the webpage again. I dont have a pdf fil...

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

They seem to be processing applications quicker now compared to January - April/May. Some forum members (August/September applications) have reported getting a decision in 4-5 weeks. You will have a 16 digit UAN which means you'll get your decision via email rather than through the post. Watch out ...

Re: Absences SAR request

I requested my SAR in order to double check my dates too and some of my entries/exits were missing. Most notably the ones through the euro channel. When I took a second look I realised that the data they sent me is just what the advanced passenger information system that airlines use sent to Border...

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

Once you've applied your UKVI account webpage will not change or update, it's not meant to anyway - it's not there to give you an update on your application.

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

UKVI Survey email is normally received once a decision has been made. You should get your decision via email or post depending on when you applied / your UAN number in the next few weeks. I've received mine 4 weeks after the survey email. Interesting and now getting a bit nervous. I am almost 4 wee...

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

I just received an invite to a survey from UKVI... while I am still waiting for a decision. Is this somehow connected or pure coincidence? Edit: Just started the survey and 2nd question was if i received a decision in the last 3 month... I clicked 'No'.... Thank you taking part in the survey... LOL...

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

Hello All, I have a question and I was hoping someone could kindly shed some light on the confusion. I have applied for naturalisation which could get approved any day now. The issue is I need to travel in December and even if the naturalisation gets approved this month, I am more than likely looki...

Re: Failure to return BRP - relevant legislation

These provisions requiring the BRPs to be returned to the Home Office were made because the law was changed to require the UK government to destroy biometric data it held on British citizens. The BRP holds biometric data and is the property of the government (as are passports and ID cards in most c...

I am also in the similar situation. But not really getting much information of it. When reading the guidelines it look likes it's entirely depend on the case worker to apply dicreation. But we really need to prove the establishment in the UK. it would be great help if other moderators and senior me...

Thanks, useful addition to the above. This proves that as I said, EU passports are good enough, EUSS or not, since EU nationals do not need a visa to enter the UK. https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/transit-schengen-visa/ Based on the list there, Brazilian nationals don't seem to need an Airport Transit Schengen Visa? The info is correct. Note though the above website is owned by a group of independent individuals, not an authority on Schengen Visa Regulations,...

Re: Overstayer needs to travel back to home country, can he have a stop over?

Thank you so much for your reply. I now have been told by the airline that if he transits in Spain, Portugal or Germany he needs a Schengen transit visa. Apparently this came into place 2 weeks ago. I didn’t even know there was anything like this, anyone have any information about this? Maybe it’s ...

Re: Overstayer needs to travel back to home country, can he have a stop over?

Thank you for your reply, makes perfect sense. I got some legal advise and they pretty much said the same, it depends on authorities. They did say the preference would be a direct flight to the country of origin but they have had clients that chose a transit although a risk remains. Gosh if someone...

Re: Residence requirement - possible to resubmit application?

I would suggest uploading a cover letter with your supporting documents to say you want to re-declare your application date, no need to withdraw your application and apply again. In cases like yours, caseworkers are instructed to contact applicants and ask them to re-declare their application date....

EU Settlement Scheme is the only UK immigration application I have ever previously made. I have a degree from UK university, taught in English. I am unsure how to respond to...

Re: Questions Regarding 'Proof of living in the UK'

For the record, the OP's original question was about proof of residence in view of the loss of one of his passports which covered the early part of the qualifying period. I referred him to points 21 and 56 in Vinny's post but also drew his attention to the additional requirement of having to prove ...
