Re: Questions Regarding 'Proof of living in the UK'

UKVI, however, do not normally ask anyone to submit evidence of presence at the start of the qualifying period. The standard used here is to give the applicant the benefit of the doubt. @dexmo - you may be right but I am not aware of the relaxed attitude of the HO you refer to in this regard. From ...

Re: Questions Regarding 'Proof of living in the UK'

A debit or credit card statement showing that the applicant made a purchase in the UK on the day 5 years before the date of the naturalisation application is accepted by the HO as proof of physical presence in the UK on that particular day. Completely irrelevant. Home office doesnt accept any bank ...

Re: Unsuccessful applications

Note also that discretion over excessive absences in your final year of the qualifying period will only be exercised if you can demonstrate strong links with the UK, i.e. family, employment, home etc. I moved my family on family visa last year in september and they are now going school here in UK a...

Re: HELP NEEDED NATURALISATION QUESTION

So where can I disclose all this information, I’m positive this wouldn’t have much effect on my application since they have all this details and I have always mentioned it in all my application. The only one I’m more worried about is the US entry refusal. I need to know where I can include all this...

Re: Mistake on submitted application - Parents

That's exactly how I read that question too. I will email this evening and will let you know if I receive any answer. You read it right. The two questions are unrelated. You're asked if you've got any children whose parent is not your current partner/spouse and separately you're then asked to provi...

Re: Questions about waiting time

Thank you for your reply. The 6-month end date mentioned by HO is the deadline for receiving the Approval letter? :D It isn't a deadline of any sort, the Home Office just says most applications are normally processed within 6 months. Depending on individual circumstances this can take longer and we...

Re: Flying to the UK without a British passport via Ireland

Thanks for the clarification on CTA - I flew twice during the last 10 years LHR>Dublin & return and had my EU passport checked on LHR arrival. Probably an exception - no immigration controls when you land in the North West and North East, and looks like none in Scotland which is in line with th...

Re: Flying to the UK without a British passport via Ireland

My understanding is that as I will clear CTA immigration control in Ireland, using an Italian passport won't pose an issue. As long as the USA isn't on the UK red list, nothing in my mind could go wrong in regards to entering the UK - am I correct? Note the CTA is only applicable to Irish and Briti...

Re: What exactly is classed as a 'Permanent residence document'?

Technically, as advised, you should should choose yes to permanent residence question as that is the only option that will allow you to specify that you're relying on ILR under EU Settlement Scheme to satisfy the freedom from immigration time restrictions requirement. I get what you're saying. Howe...

Re: What exactly is classed as a 'Permanent residence document'?

That may work as well. Do you have to provide additional information of your status if you answer Yes to the 2nd question? The difference between the 2 scenarios is as follows: If I select 'Yes' to the permanent residence question then it will ask for the following: Evidence that you have been in t...

Re: Proof of sufficient time in the UK

There's no requirement to prove every date out of the UK - requirement is to list all your trips out of the UK. You are allowed to estimate dates and durations if not sure. You are free to add a note explaining estimates and missing stamps. But no need for tickets, etc. And, to add to this, there's...
