I applied in November and got my acknowledgement and fee receipt last week. The processing time says 23 months from the receipt date so it basically started from November.

Does somebody exactly know when the processing time starts?

Is it the date application is delivered? or
The date an acknowledgement is sent?

Its been more than 6 moths i haven't received acknowledgement so will the processing time start after they send me acknowledgement?

May be you have had any civil matter and they are confusing it with the criminal ones. Also may be somebody have used your details in which case you are not at fault at all. I was also wondering whether CCJ's or civil matters while in UK do have an effect when applying for Irish naturalization?
