Re: Citizenship approval received but papers not sent to Council

It can take around 4 weeks from the moment HO decides to grant the citizenship application to receiving the certificate by the council. And in some cases they delay intimation email to coincide with the delivery of the certificate to the council. So hopefully soon.

Also you will need to prove your knowledge of English, show you’ve passed the life in the UK test and be of good character. Read the naturalisation guidance https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-spouse

Re: Do I qualify for British Citizenship?

You need three years of continuous residence for British citizenship, during which you cannot be out of the UK for 270 days or 90 days each year, especially the last year. Also be physically present in the UK exactly three years from the date of application. Since you were out of the UK for 2 years ...

Re: Confusion about travelling

Only if you don't attend the citizenship ceremony. Because if you do then your ILR will become invalid as you'd be a British citizen. And by law you have to return your BRP within 5 days of attending the citizenship ceremony.

Most probably yes, as a lot of us here got the decision soon after. Do share as soon as you get the decision. Also there already exists a thread on the subject and you should post there.

Re: First British Passport, will they fold my British Naturalisation certificate?

In my case the certificate was sent back in a plain A4 size envelope. The TNT delivery drivery folded it to post through the letterbox on the door. Wasn't creased though, and to be honest, I didn't mind much.

Re: English language - letter or just code?

You can use the code, it will suffice. Email by Trinity states that you can do that,

"Your Unique Electronic Reference Number is TCL/123456/123456/123456789. You can quote this number when making your application to the Home Office"
