To answer my own question, yes it was fine, no concerns raised.

Not sure if it'll be accepted beyond today though, given other forms only had a grace period until 22nd Dec (which is a Sunday).

Were you ok with the previous version (10/2013) of the form? I have my PEO appointment in a couple of days, and have readied everything using that version. I'm happy to take my chances with it, but just thought I'll ask since you've applied with the previous version after the effective date for the ...

Thanks Moose, Unfortunately, I'm a national of a country which does require a pre-arranged visa prior to commencing travel to the UK. Your experience of a 3-day turnaround does sound promising, but my appointment is too close to Xmas to take the risk of booking a flight beforehand. I've decided it's...

Thanks tahirnaveed. I have also called the UKBA helpline since, who also confirmed that there is no way I could get my T1G BRP back after a successful ILR application. They said I would probably be able to enter the UK with the ILR approval letter that they normally issue on the day of appointment (...

Is T1G BRP returned upon successful ILR app @ PEO appt?

I've got a PEO appointment just before Xmas and I'd like to fly out of the UK within 3 days of my appointment (ideally same day), and only return to the UK in mid Jan-14, actually a few days before my Tier-1 permission runs out. I'm expecting a pretty routine ILR application (T1G route), and hopeful...

Thanks for your response. Entry clearance start date: 17/01/2009 Arrived UK: 17/01/2009 I received the visa in mid-Dec 2008, but as there was no 90-day allowance at the time, I specifically asked for my entry clearance to be post-dated to my proposed arrival date in the UK. I guess that makes my onl...

Window of application for ILR / Absence letters < 180d/yr

I'm a 'standard' Tier 1 (G) visa holder with an initial 3-year visa followed by a 2-year extension due to expire in mid-Jan 2014. Just wanted to confirm a couple of things, and would appreciate expert opinions/pointers:- 1. My only window of applying for ILR is between the following 2 dates:- From: ...

Haven't read the detail and don't have an opinion of what the new rules imply. If it's true that they will start mandating these letters, my guess is that they'll only expect such letters for absences that start on or after 6th April. Can't see how they can effectively "backdate" a new req...

So for anyone with a projected appointment date of 15 Jun 2012, surely they'll have missed the window for increasing their balance to the new minimum level unless they did so within a day of the announcement (how many T1G visa holders are even aware of this announcement)? This is assuming they keep ...

Re: Anybody applied 2-3 months early for an extension recent

Is there anybody who applied 2-3 months before their visa expiry date and issued a visa from the date of their initial visa's expiry recently? The use of the word "significantly" in the policy really needs to be clarified, as it just doesn't sound fair to leave it as a judgement call on a...

Re: Got Tier 1 visa - few queries....

I got all my documents returned yesterday with Tier 1 visa stamping. Validity period 18th Dec 2008 - 18th Dec 2011. However, during my application process I did mention that my travel date as 01 March 2009. Still the BHC has issued the start date as 18th Dec 2008. How can I proceed in this regards ...

Is this a new development? I'm pretty sure English Language points were awarded for an ACCA in the past... might be a recent development.
