Re: New immigration rules

Hi Guys,

I have checked the calendar not thoroughly though. There is no more talk on the IHS increase before winter break.

I hope the fee will not increase till 16th January.

Re: New immigration rules

It was just debated today.. Some clarification is needed as HO hasn't justified/proof as the quote doesn't match "At the moment, however, the real issue is how many of our migrants are going to face this enormous surcharge in the NHS fee, which has not been justified in any of the documentation...

Re: New immigration rules

Statutory Instruments are not necessarily debated. It is very rare that an SI is sent back to minsters. @secret.simon has described how this works. https://www.immigrationboards.com/immigration-for-family-members/how-new-law-will-affect-on-going-cases-t341701.html?hilit=statutory%20instrument#p2139...

Re: New immigration rules

Came across this yesterday https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-9920/ Apparently the Government is making plans to have 'Transitional arrangements' for those who are already in the UK and they may be exempt from this. Please see below the question that was asked in the parlia...

Re: Switching to Tier2 from GR Visa for me and my family (I am in UK, they are abroad)

Oh!
So, that is a done deal. So, will it come into effect on 16th Jan, or can be delayed for a few weeks or days?

Thank you.

IHS increase

Just a query. So far it is all over the internet that the Health Surcharge will increase by 66% but no earlier than 16th Jan 2024. Or after 21 days when the bill is accepted. Therefore, whichever will be the latter (on 16th or 17th etc). When this bill will be presented or its already done? I cannot...

I will have CoS soon but would like to apply for my family too as visa fees are increasing from 16th January 2024. Now, can I apply for myself and my family together...

5 Year tier 2 visa on 2 year contract

Re: Student Visa extension but lacking ATAS

Hi, I have applied for Exceptional Assurance Request and got it in 2 hours. I cited that my Country is in red list and I cannot come back to UK even if I get visa at my home country. Also, I stated that my viva is due and in travelling I can get corona or get false positive which will put me in quar...

Re: Student Visa extension but lacking ATAS

Thank you for the clarification: 1. I have submitted my dissertation and I will ask the faculty to produce some certificate showing that. 2. Yes, successful completion is required for the Graduate route. I was counting on the lag of application process. Whereas, viva and subsequent correction may ta...

Re: Student Visa extension but lacking ATAS

Thank you for the clarification. In addition, I want to buy ticket on 28th Aug, if ATAS is nor arrived. However, the ticket will surely be after my visa expiry (30 Aug). Should I buy early and ask "Exceptional assurance team", if the ticket is after 30th or can I buy ticket late and ask &q...

Student Visa extension but lacking ATAS

Good day, I am waiting for my PhD viva which is due on 16th Sept. My visa is expiring on 30th August 2021. The viva will be online. To extend my Visa I need ATAS (applied on 4th Aug). I was hoping to apply for Graduate route before. Anyway, what should I do in case I don't receive ATAS in time: 1. A...
