They always used to go for removal and ignore working illegally. Anyone got any idea why they now (only occasionally i think) pursue criminal prosecutions? It seems to me to be mostly wasting the CPS's time, and prisons aren't exactly battling for custom either. Just going straight for detention and...

You don't need to register your address with the police or anything like that. You do need to apply for a national insurance number to work in the UK.

Yes she will be. If at least one of her parents were settled in the UK (ILR = settled) then she will be a british citizen by birth.

You don't need to register her or make any nationality application - she already is. If you need a passport for her its a normal british passport application.
