Hi I've just applied for my ILR but have an opportunity to move to another company. Will I be risking the ILR approval by doing this?

I would usually wait but the last time I sent away for a renewal of Tier2 it took 7 months.

We're planning to marry anyways but I'll leave that for later. well we both got our WP Nov 07. she got hers for 5 years and mine for 1 and a half. how do i know when i'm up for ILR? The HO doesn't mind if you have a work permit and then switch to dependent status. As long as your wife's permit is valid then it shouldn't be a problem. How do you qualify for ILR in 2 years' time? Time on a working holiday visa only counts towards the 10 years Long Residency Category (LRC). As a ...

so i just need to have residency in a closer country.. cheers steve That's right, but a visit visa or waivered visit visa doesn't give residency, so you can't apply unless you can get another type of visa that conveys residency, like student, work permit etc in that country...
