Home Office / UKBA Holiday hours

Hi all, I applied for my ILR back on Oct 09, but still haven't received any notice that the application has been completed (though I did get a request for biometrics on Nov 2 which I did). Given that they have my passport, I have pretty much written off heading back to see my family for the holidays...

Thanks so much all for all your help. I spent some time going the passport route — all very time consuming, but seemingly foolproof I suppose. Problems I have had with this route are: 1. Some stamps were just poorly inked. There are several I can barely make out. 2. The USA (I am American)—inconsist...

Hiya, yes, sorry this is for SET(O). Credit card is a good start—still quite tricky as I have travelled to the same locations for business and pleasure, but it's definitely a good start. I fear that perhaps I was abroad using a cash advance from the company (therefor not using a card). Do you know h...

6.2 Immigration History: How???

Hi all, I feel a little stupid at the moment as I have been reading the forum now for the past hour searching for someone who has had the same question I have...but haven't found anything yet. For section 6.2—does anyone have any pointers on how to go about figuring out when you had travelled in the...

Recommended Solicitors? (London based, Tier 1 Extension)

Hi all, I have been hunting all night for a thread or something that can point me in the direction of immigration solicitors that can help / do my immigration application as my deadline is approaching rapidly and I am slammed with a contract (needed to fulfill my earning req). Has anyone used an imm...

I got my ref number via email. It may be different for you, it just depends on which type of correspondence you specified on your application (i chose email). I waited about a week after they received my application/charged my card, then called HO to follow up (the number is all over this forum, jus...

if they are still working on Feb 28th, then that makes it the case that they have been working on 3 days worth of applications since my application has been in (April 18th), because that is what they were working on when they received my app. I sure hope they have just forgotten to update the machin...

Yeah, i get the feeling there may be another thread for April applicants (perhaps the Tier 1 April thread). Anyhow, I am sitting tight, waiting patiently for the results. I don't think there is much we can do but wait after we receive our ref #s. I have been watching trackitt.com in attempt to keep ...

I would definitely call them just to "check in." You can tell them that you have been checking your online statements and have noticed that they have not yet charged your card, so you wanted to give a call and make sure that everything was ok with your information. I called the day after m...

Previous Earnings: Deposit date vs Check issue date; urgent

Hi all! On previous earnings in my HSMP application, I am claiming all of 2007 (Jan - Dec) as my 12 months. I am an independent contractor and I had a check written to me on 11/2006 that was not deposited until 01/2007....does that still count towards my earnings? Logically I would imagine that it's...
