I am assuming your licence was endorsed with 3 penalty points by a police officer under a Fixed Penalty Notice. This should be fine and would not be classed as a criminal conviction. You will still need to declare it in your ILR application.

Unspent motoring conviction

You will have problems with ILR post April 2011 if the penalty points and fine were awarded by a court.
This means that you have a motoring conviction which will become spent only after 5 years and thus render you ineligible for ILR when the new rules for settlement come into force.

Unspent motoring conviction

The introduction of the Criminality threshold for settlement to bring it more in line with that for citizenship (naturalisation) applicants sounds the deathknell for ILR applicants like me who have unspent motoring convictions. Applicants currently applying for citizenship (naturalisation) have to b...

I am also in the same boat as ssoct98@hotmail.com. In October 2009 I received 6 points on my license due to driving without insurance and not in accordance with license. The conviction was done by the Crown Court though I was not physically present as I pleaded guilty by post. My ILR eligibility is ...

They usually ask for SC (also called DV) if the client is a govt organisation like MoD, Police, GCHQ etc. (sensitive/confidential projects). Were the clients that you gave interviews for falling into these categories ? These are usually reserved for only British citizens. That could be a reason for...
