I agree with mimmy. The passport is with vfs or maybe with british embassy, ukvi has nothing to do with it. Or maybe they can track where the passport is and reply accordingly UKVI cannot track it, I asked them last week. They said they cannot track passports, they can only provide updates regardin...

It has been nearly 4 weeks since they told my spouse to submit there passport but still not heard anything about the decision. June application are taking very long 😭 Have you contacted them?
