What date do you see for 1st reading under Borders, Immigration and Citizenship Bill?

I do not see the date for the first reading anymore below

Siggi, The delay your talking about is for Pakistani nationals who are residents here.

Gollywood, Since your relative will be on a visitor visa in UK he / she will not qualify to get a Schengen visa at the French Emabssy in London.

Hence please ask them to get their Schengen visa from Pakistan.

Check the residential requirements, it is 5 years. so 4 years on WP and 1 year on ILR in this case.

I am checking this cos my passport expires on mid may 2009 and was checking whether I can avoid renewing my passport?

I came to UK on WP in May 26th 2003
Then I changed to HSMP
I got my ILR on 30th April 2008
Can I apply for naturalisation on 30th April 2009 (I was in UK 5 years back on this day, i.e 30th April 2004)
or should I wait for May 26th 2009 before I can apply for naturalisation.

You have to have a PR when your child was born to apply for british naturalisation.
Apply for a PR for you kid when you get yours and then in a years time the entire family will be naturalised if you want to.

Reason i check, i have my H1b on that...

Once you get a british passport, do you have to surrender your Indian passport back to the Indian high commission. Because I read that holding Indian passport when you get a new british passport is a crime.

Please help this confused soul......
