Ok, So looks like its Fiance Visa at 585 pounds and then FLR form at 395 or 595 pounds. Crazy as if getting married wasnt expensive enough. But I guess she is worth it and more. Is that the best way to go then? I guess getting married in India wont make a difference to the price or to making the pr...

I don't think VAF2 form stated on this link is the right form to fill Immigration2009. It is for Employment or UK ancestry, and access to a UK child doesn't fit that criteria. The form to fill is a normal Family Visitors visa with the additional required information, and he/ she will receive a 12 m...

Re: Do I need these? Fiancee Application

Hi, I am British and I am just getting my evidence together for my fiancee application for my fiancee in Pakistan. I went to see a local immigration advisor today to enquire about accomodation reports but he doesn't do them. Whilst talking to him about fiancee visa application process, he said 3 th...

Might be wrong, but I thought it was july 2011 because the new rules became law in july 2009 so it give the BIA 2 years to sort out the new processes.

I think it is possible. The home office could have made a mistake. Unlikely but if they did make a mistake and grant him ILR after only two years here on a student visa I don't think he'd be wise to apply for British citizenship as they definately won't grant him that after only 3 years in the UK u...

Has your partner got anything official to prove that he has been living at the same address as you for at least the last two years (eg bank statements)? If not then you really are wasting your time applying for a unmarried partner.

It does still require you to have close ties to Switzerland which I guess would be impossible to show if you have never lived there.

As she has only just left the UK after spending 5 months here there is little point in re-applying until next year.

She has to apply for ILR first - you can't apply for British citizenship unless you have ILR.

Once she has ILR she can apply for British citizenship straightaway.
