Re: Time Spent Outside UK.

Thanks again for responding. I guess another option could be delay applying for naturalisation till you reach a point where the previous 12 months specifically I have not spent more than 90 days outside the UK. So in my example wait till Aug 2025 and then apply for example. This could work as well r...

Re: Time Spent Outside UK.

Thanks again for the response. My question was based on a hypothetical set of numbers. Essentially I am planning to apply for naturalisation end of the year IA and so was trying to understand this requirement clearly. Because if I took a few too many holidays between now and end of the year, I might...

Re: Time Spent Outside UK.

Thank you for the response.

But if its more than 100 days does it invalidate your right to apply or do you have to wait till there is a period of 12months where you have been out of the UK for less than 100days before you apply?

Time Spent Outside UK.

Hello, I saw the below requirement on Gov.uk for applying for citizenship in the UK after ILR for more than 1 year. "You should not have: spent more than 450 days outside the UK during the 5 years before your application spent more than 90 days outside the UK in the last 12 months" With re...

Proof of No British Citizenship

Hello, I need to get a letter proving that I have not obtained British citizenship (form NQ). See link below. I need this to get a document from my home country embassy. If I get this letter will there be any rule or such preventing me from applying for British citizenship? Could I, in theory, make ...

Medical Treatment in the UK

Hi, I am applying for my wife's dependant visa (Tier2) extension. On the application one of the questions is about medical treatment history in the UK. It asks for details such as if we visited A&E or at a doctor's surgery or clinic or hospital appointment and when these treatments started and e...

Re: Application Date for

Thank you for the response. My employer has stated in the letter that I am entitled to 25 days of annual leave but not specified when I took them. Apparently they dont provide that. Is this okay? Reason I am asking is in the above link you shared they specify that "You must confirm that the app...

Re: Application Date for

Hi, Thank you again for all your responses. One of the evidences being asked for absences out the UK is " Letter(s) from employer(s) detailing reasons for work-related absences including periods of paid annual leave from the UK and Crown Dependencies for Mr XXXX " My questions are: 1. I ha...

Re: Application Date for

Thank you for the response. To follow-up, I dont have a CoS this time round as I am applying on ILR. So what would I say is the COS number? On the link you sent it says that the CoS number will be required? Also, in my own ILR application it asks for Sponsor Number for the sponsor of the application...

Re: Application Date for

Thank you for your responses. I have an additional question if you dont mind. How do I add my wife as a dependant (extension of her existing tier 2 dependant but not yet eligible for ILR)? When I do it as part of the Set(O) application it seems to be adding her as a Set (O) partner which seems to ma...

Your employer confirms everything in one single letter.

When you say "everything" what does this mean?

Re: Employer Letter for ILR Application

Okay thanks.

But what about the "your employer (sponsor) still needs you for your job - they’ll need to provide a document confirming this". What should this document state?

Just literally they need me for the job? What about salary, job title etc.?

Re: Employer Letter for ILR Application

Thanks for the response. However, I am referring to the confirmation from the employer as stated in the link https://www.gov.uk/settle-in-the-uk/y/you-have-a-work-visa/tier-2-general-visa. What should be in this confirmation please? I think the letter you were showing is the "continuous residen...

Can anyone let me know what information should be captured by the employer in their letter to support my ILR application after 5 years on Tier 2 Visa please?

Thanks in advance!
