Was the Dublin ceremony the first time they sent the certificates by post after the ceremony? Excluding those over covid I know they had to post those, but the Dublin one in March was the first larger scale ceremony where they posted out after the fact? I think it could either take longer because of...
Can anyone who attended the ceremonies today confirm that they didnt take your GNIB/IRP card off you and it was just shown at registration? We are going on holiday in 2 weeks (non visa required so no re-entry visa possible) so we are kind of relying on it to get my husband back into the country :| ...

Have a quick google of the previous ceremonies and look at pictures. It seems to usually be very casual. It rages a bit from suits to people who just rocked up in a tracksuit, and everything in between. I saw one picture of a girl wearing something like a ballgown! I'd say wear what you like but I p...
Husband just received an email today around 2pm from citizenship confirming his payment (from the 15th) of 950 has been processed today. Hopefully that means he will be invited to the ceremony.
This is just my own theory with absolutely nothing behind it. At one point I think if I remember correctly towards the end of 2021 they said they would be implementing a new system from Jan 2022 (point system plus other changes) plus allocating more staff to the citizenship department. They also sai...
For those who received certificates in the post from the ceremony earlier in the year, how did it arrive? Was it sent by registered mail which had to be signed for, or just popped in the letter box? Was it in one of those do not bend envelopes? I ask because my husband received approval today and we...
My husband received approval today.
Asks everything to be completed online and fee paid online. Also mentions original travel document (if applicable) to be returned by post but says NOT passports.
I assume that means refugee documents and not IRP, as it only asks for a scan of IRP online.
Lovely, thank you! Interesting to know they've returned to paper data, as on the occasions before (see https://www.immigrationboards.com/post2109636.html#p2109636 for example) they wanted scans and pictures online. Guess digitalization is not (yet) going forward. Probably its about your case/applic...

Few approvals today it looks like, mostly from June/July '21 though. I'd say we will start seeing a few more next week. Wonder will many from Sept '21 onwards get it (husband is Sept '21). At this stage I think there's still a slim chance for June but I'm probably more leaning towards Dec now all go...
Yes you are right, I'm just trying to give them the benefit of the doubt since it doesn't seem they have sent many if any approvals yet and who knows what they are at
I keep seeing everyone saying something fishy is going on but what possibly could be fishy? It's still just under 6 weeks till the ceremony and someone else said they normally don't send invites till a week or 2 beforehand. So they still have 3.5 weeks left or so. Couldn't they also possibly send ap...
This time they won’t give the certificates so they will have some more time What do you mean? They no longer give the certificates of naturalisation at the ceremony and instead post them out after. Means they have less to prepare before the ceremony so in theory should have more time for processing...
I am positive because I assume there will be a mass approvals like 2022 October/November. Also, the number of people who got their approvals after March ceremony is extremely low, given that there will be a 2 day ceremony, I assume they will need more people. Overall, we will see it in a week or tw...
Don't think they took anyone's IRP from the ceremony, abeit we're yet to hear from someone who attempted to travel. Let us know how it goes! On a side note, certificates from Dublin ceremony were sent after a ~month of it happening, from what was mentioned on the board, so I estimate about 3 months...
Does anyone know do they still take your IRP card from you when you get approval or at the ceremony, considering you don't even get the certificate on the day anymore? We are really hoping my husband will get approval and be invited to the June ceremony, but we are going away for 3 weeks on the 8th...

Has anyone from the most recent batch of e-vetting gotten approval yet and been asked to pay the fee? How long before the ceremony do they normally send out invitations? The next ceremony is "only" 56 days away, which really isnt that long when people need to organise time off work and ho...

Husbands application (Sept 2021) finally got evetting letter just before Easter, filled it out and sent it back right away. Still not yet completed or viewed as then the application didn't get submitted by citizenship to garda vetting till after Easter. I'm hoping he will get it by the end of the ye...
