Re: Scorecard is a positive development

The issue for me, and I guess plenty of other people, is the new scorecard suddenly invalidates lots of the evidence that we have spent years collecting. I've got 3 years' worth of electricity, internet, and waste bills. Suddenly the latter two don't count. Letters from government agencies apparent...

Re: Scorecard is a positive development

The problem I have with the scorecard approach vs that pyramid pdf is this. Previously it said it would take spouse revenue documentation and employment letters for spouse, even if they are weaker. Now they are just gone? We sent loads of those with my husbands application (Sept 2021 no letter yet)....

Re: Which 'system' do you think will be used? (New scorecard)

Honestly I think this new system so far looks worse to be honest. We applied for my husband last year in September but so far haven't got an application number back yet. Based on the old system I would have sent them enough documents (3 proofs for each of the 3 years claimed). But according to the n...

Re: IRP renewal for the spouse of Irish national

Hi All, Are any of you renewing outside Dublin, or you are all living in Dublin and renewing online or in Burgh Quay? I'm just wondering how long renewals might be taking for anyone doing it in their local Garda Station outside Dublin. I think the way it works outside Dublin is the immigration offic...

Re: How much time is given to complete the asks once you get the naturalisation approval?

I was actually wondering this myself yesterday, not that my husband will be getting an approval letter anytime soon...he only applied about 2 months ago! But if you need to send back your IRP card with the fee etc., what if you have an upcoming trip booked? Would immigration accept your approval let...

Re: The Minister of Justice was asked yesterday at the Dail to talk about the current citizenship process

I actually had sent a message to my local TD on Wednesday asking a lot of the same questions. My husbands application only was submitted 3 weeks ago so I'm in no way complaining about his particular application, its going to be 2+ years is my guess, but more regarding the entire process itself. Its ...

Re: Current processing time updated to 23 months

I thought the minister had said the goal was for 9 months for most applications in 2022? I thought that was very unrealistic anyway but giving a time frame of 6-9 months for 2022 which is really not that far away, and now saying the processing time is 23 months seems absolutely redicilous. https://w...

Naturalisation Application Form - Person ID Number

Hi all, Sorry for asking so many questions today! Ran into an issue on the naturalisation form while my husband was filling it out. In section 2 it is asking for his Person ID Number. I haven't a clue what this is and I'm not sure where to find it. He must have one however as he is non EU so he must...

Re: Naturalisation Application - How to complete residency checker

Thanks for all your help. I've just updated his cover letter there. I'll send off the application and in the meantime I can start gathering stuff for 2016/2017 in case they come back and ask.

Naturalisation Application - How to complete residency checker

Hello, We were planning on submitting my husbands naturalisation application next week. He is from the US, I'm Irish. We are applying on the basis of being married to an Irish Citizen, so need 3 years legal residence out of the last 5. We have been married since 2016 and living in Ireland since. His...
