Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

I sent a certified copy as well. We'll see if it was ok with them but with the current wait times for processing, I wasn't going to be without my valid passport for that long.

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

My estimated issue date was yesterday and I'm still on processing. I spoke to webchat and they've not been able to give me any further information. Mines past due by 2 weeks now and same, they can't tell me any information other than wait longer. The estimated dates seem to be worthless. What upset...

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

I am seeing several posts with passports being printed and they started later than I did. Hope that doesn't mean something is wrong but the representative said nothing was flagged. I don't know if it's the luck of the draw or if I fell to the back but it would have been nice to have it by my trip on...

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

Application received March 3rd, expected date was May 24th but that has passed. I was lucky enough to get someone from the passport office on the phone but he just very nicely said, yes it's passed and there is nothing they can do about it. He hinted that it hasn't been looked at yet but all I can d...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

The passport application states to send your current passport if you have one from another country. With a 40 work day turn around time I can't be without my passport that long. Will they accept a copy or is there another way to go about this?

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

On the passport application it states to send your current passport if you have one from another country. Does anyone know if that is required? With a 40 workday turn around time for first time applicants, I can't be without my US passport that long.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Remind me again why they can't process applications during Covid? Other government functions seem to be working. I can understand a small hiccup but seems like this is an excuse.
