Re: Scorecard is a positive development

This might be rite in other country but I would think it is not rite in this country. They need you to pay tax but they want you and your family to leave when it needs to. We are foreigners in this country and many of us are working so hard. My wife wont be able to submit this year because of this n...

Re: Scorecard is a positive development

Do you need them or do they need you ? Oh, dear. If they need you, they will make it reasonable, if you need them then you have to accept whatever they want. Wake up and stop blaming  . The scorecard approach doesn't consider ground realities - [1] Some banks don't auto-generate bank statements...

Re: New scoreboard approach is foolish

I absolutely agree with Mentalmind's opinion. But, if an application cannot provide required documents, from my understanding if the applicant cannot satisfy 150 Points for any year, engagement with the Department will need to be taken, and gain, I understood that the application will need to provid...

Re: Citizenship application form issue

How about child benefit ? The payment statement will show this. Most of the kids in Ireland are qualified for this and parents will receive this (usually mothers). So, the question is if a mother received Child Benefit, will this have a negative impact on to her Citizenship Application? Does anyone ...

Re: Mysterious criminal convictions

I did a search for the UK and you might apply from here. Please check it again. https://www.acro.police.uk/Police-Certificates-FAQs#Who_can_apply_for_a_Police_Certificate For my case, I applied for an FOI of myself held by Garda, just to see if I would do something wrong that I might not be aware of...

Re: New point system help. What to put for P60 if wife is a housewife

You are right Littlerr. However, there are some certain cases as follows: For a rent agreement, sometimes it was signed by one spouse rather than by the couple with the landlord. We could go back to the landlord and re-sign it so would be ok. For bank, my spouse got refused by AIB as the bank said a...

Re: Mysterious criminal convictions

You could request a police cert from the UK to see what is that if you are unsure. I did this in Ireland before submitting my Irish citizenship application. If it is really there in your case, I would consider to write to the department to explain. Maybe other people in this forum might give a bette...

Re: New point system help. What to put for P60 if wife is a housewife

I think, it would take a while for everything to be clearer. I came across the new point system and in my opinion it might be difficult for many people, especially for someone with Stamp 3 as they were not allowed to work before Stamp 1G scheme applied to them in 2019. Hopefully the Department will ...

Re: Report new job changed to Immigration Office?

UPDATE: I got a reply from my local Immigration Office today morning and they confirmed to me that I don't need to update my job change. Furthermore, if my new Company is in County A but if I am living (working remotely) in County B, then I will renew my IRP in my local Immigration Office where I am...

Folks, I sent my application on 16/June 2021 and it was received by 17 June 2021 by the division. On 19/Oct, I got an email confirming my address, to which I replied immediately just a few minutes after receiving it. Re: Residency calculator

From my understanding, you can use the stamps on your passport. "You can do this by showing your immigration permission stamps or documents from the Department of Justice indicating your permissions granted" Ref: https://www.irishimmigration.ie/how-to-become-a-citizen/become-an-irish-citiz...
