Tasha, Our MP was not actually that helpfull, but his PA has been brilliant. She has been chasing the BIA and the Ombudsman weekly. I spoke to the Ombudsman yesterday and they are still going to carry on with their investigation even though we have now got my wifes ILR. Maybe we will get some compen...

Tasha,

As John says you have to go through your MP. Go to this site:

http://www.ombudsman.org.uk/make_a_complaint/index.html

and complete the form then send it to your MP.

If your MP is not already involved in your case then make an appointment to see him/her at their surgery.

So have you been stuck without a passport for five years, unable to travel?

If so you have an amazing amount of patience. You should definately go to the ombudsman.

Thay have already contacted us and said they are investigating our case.

My Zimbabwean wife applied for her ILR after 2 year spouse visa on 3rd July 2007. We went together to Cr...

For anyone interested here is an update. I spoke to the MP's PA yesterday who has phoned the HO again. They told her they will look for the file and phone her back!!!! She says that this means they have either lost it or more likely, because of the MP's intervention that it is finally in front of a ...

Thanks jamalkhan.

We have not used a solicitor so far. We did it ourselves. As stated we have been to our MP but the reply to him again just states that it is still being considered.
