You can bring a guest with you to the ceremony. No kids but elder ones are allowed.
Is this written in their invitation to the ceremony?

The last twist of the knife from Immigration. You can't bring children either so it's inconvenient for parents. And all for a pointless ceremony that does nothing but boost hotel prices in Killarney.
How do you know that one cannot bring children (as guest/s) in the ceremony?

Does anyone received E-vetting for September-2021 posted application ?
We applied on 09/11/2021 and received e-vetting invitation letter from INIS on 27/09/2022 - we sent it back to INIS on 28/09/2022 but we have not received the Garda invitation yet.

Luas fine is not police or criminal related. Why the heck would you be obliged to refer to it in your citizenship application?

Did anyone applied after September 2021 got any acknowledgement letter (and maybe eVetting form at same time) by any chance? Secretary General of eire has requested the certificate from myself here in the UK, offence was a minor assault charge over 10years ago This is slightly confusing for me, perhaps others can assist here. Re: Inform GNIB if moving to Belfast?

You can try the Free Legal Advice Centre (I think this is okay to post, as it's a service, and no one can say which solicitor you will speak to actually). They have a pool of solicitors, and they may guide you from there, as in point you to some people. At least it's a starting point. One of their m...

Re: Final year continuous residence proof

I would send 12 months of bank statements to show that continuation - just to get that out there first, so they are not asking you for it. If you happen to have a credit card and so on, I would send statements for the full year for that also.

Re: Inform GNIB if moving to Belfast?

Judging from the state of the department after the Jones issue and COVID-19, I do not think that it is reasonable to believe that anyone would think they would definitely be done with their naturalisation application in 1-2 years. In this case, I do not think that it would be weird for someone to ho...

Re: Inform GNIB if moving to Belfast?

You have to look at renewing your IRP (going to the State and seeing what you can do, as even though this is online, you cannot do it from abroad), or see at how you can get a re-entry visa in order to get back into the State. I would advise a solicitor for both, for the main reason that you may not...

Re: recoknable residence

The law is that in the last 4 years prior to naturalisation, you should have a total of 3 years residence in the state. The final year should be contiuous residence. But you are then allowed to chose any 2 years in the 4 years preceding the naturalisation application. You certainly cannot choose 20...
