Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

It's funny you mention the Embassy thing, because my witness was called from a 202 area code which is Washington D.C. area.

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

I'm in US. They called my witness both times for my passport, first one they couldn't get a hold of so I had to resubmit with a new witness. This was for my daughters, so I would say "almost" 100% of the time they call for first time passports although I have seen some say their witness wa...

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

FED EX and UPS will NOT deliver to PO Box. I have used USPS about 4 times sending documents to Ireland, they have all arrived within 10 days of sending (From East Coast). I used Priority International. Easy to track in the US then transfers over to AN POST in Ireland, same tracking number.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

As someone who has followed this page for a while I can say that they definitely are not processing in strict date order and despite what the government says they are not processing them in 10 months. There are a few people that do get them done a lot quicker than others, maybe just lucky with who i...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Someone else had posted something about this theory but it does seem that those who have got the address check but are still waiting and have emailed them about it seem to get the congrats email pretty ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Advice please...I obtained Irish passport 6 months ago based on Mother being born in Ireland, passport office had some issues with lineage (due to her adoption and surname changes), but it was solved with a notarized copy of my Mother's Passport showing she was born in Ireland. I have applied via FB...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

Just to clarify on my issue I went back and looked at my mom's marriage certificate and it clearly says my mothers adopted name and under that it is written formally known as her birth name. So not sure how that isn't clear?

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

I'm done too, just got email similar to G Dog. Cancelling in 10 days. They had called my witness today so I thought I was finally getting it but then got an email and hour later. So after 6+ months they are now apparently saying they can't link me to my mother and her mother. My mother was adopted s...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

I found that the tracking bar is inline with the estimated due date and not an accurate gauge for when you will get the passport. For example, mine kept ticking up until it got to 100% on my due date. Since I didn't get it by then, it automatically went backwards to about 75% and has stayed there. I...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

Hard to say how long your wait will be, but several of us on here have had the same thing happen, all I can say is that you go back to the end of the line once they receive whatever they needed. Personally speaking, I resubmitted a document they wanted on Dec 30th and I'm still waiting...Supposedly ...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

They had scanned all my information back in December, I then resubmitted another witness form in December and had spoken to them last week about my application since it was overdue and they...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

In regards to Passport, there is no logic behind any of it. I applied Sep 28th, got to stage 4 and then 3 weeks after due date (Dec 1) they wanted more info. Resubmitted Dec 30th, (Due Date march 7th). My application is still at stage 3. Contacted them on the 11th and they couldn't tell me anything....

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

G Dog, I was wondering about your case, mine was due yesterday, still in verifying stage, no change since they got the documents again back in December, witness hasn't been contacted either. Tracker went to 100% for about 8 hours yesterday now back to 60%. Funny that they say if you haven't been con...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

Sounds like operations normal then if you are 1 week past due date and they are saying check back in two weeks. For most of us they were going 2-3 weeks past due date.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

First time Passports are kind of a mystery right now. Some have posted they are getting them almost 2 weeks before due date and others 4-5 weeks after. Must be similar to FBR in that who actually looks at the application determines how quickly it's processed. I'm on my second attempt now (mother bor...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

I believe the estimated due date is the same for everyone in that it is automatically generated for approx 40 working days/8 weeks which is what their web site continues to say is the turnaround time for first time applications. I also read somewhere that supposedly 90% of the applications are compl...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

For those that have been on this forum awhile, has anyone come up with a theory yet on how they process the applications? Are there teams such as in the FBR and if you get a bad one you are just unlucky? Some are getting passports weeks before due date some are a month after, there's seems to be no ...
