Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

Anyone having issues with the tracker? Mine just went from verifying back to submit supporting documentation?? They had scanned all my information back in December, I then resubmitted another witness form in December and had spoken to them last week about my application since it was overdue and the...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

I sent my application off via post on Wednesday. I know it was shipped to Ireland according to my Royal Mail reference number, and hypothetically got to Ireland early Thursday morning, but the An Post website hasn't updated with tracking information. I'm wondering if anyone knows how long it took f...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Ah, I was wondering about this. Was it two separate things, confirmation of address and then requesting an address to post the documents and certs too? I was hoping to request that the certificate and documents be sent to my mother's address but was unsure I could as I do not live there myself and ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I thought I'd post my timeline as I've found that so helpful when other people have done that, just to get that comfort that I'm not the only one waiting, and that things do seem to be moving: Application submitted online: 10/11/2019 Email acknowledging receipt of documentation Balbriggan: 02/12/20...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I'm really interested in how you consolidated your applications. Are you saying that you submitted only one copy of all of your ancestry documents (including your parents), combined it with you and your sisters' information and submitted it in one envelope? Did you include a cover letter on what wa...

I don’t think that’s the number I was contacted on then. Phone number was +353 (25) 218 2605.

Thank you anyway.
No problem! Hope you get some good news soon!

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hi, Glad you’ve received some good news. Would you mind telling me what number they contacted you on? I had a missed call last week from an Irish number but there was no message left and goes dead when I call back. I presume it’s a spam number but would be useful to confirm the number they called y...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Congrats! Also, very interesting. This is the second time I've seen someone mention a phone call from DFA rather than an email. I'm assuming this only for European applicants? I guess so! Once I confirmed the address to return the documents to on the phone I did get an email from the person I spoke...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hi everyone! I am a proper lurker on this forum - I have never posted before but I have been checking up here since about July 2021 when I stumbled up on it in yet another frantic google search to see if I could find out anything about FBR processing times! Today I received a phone call form the DFA...
