i only asked for records of my last 3 flr applications.

still, i received it a few days before the 40-day limit.

i suspect they hang on to it until the last minute.

Can you still get leave for student visas/work permit/hsmp at the immigration counter these days?
My extensions at airport were student visas. And it was during 1997-1999.

My other HSMP and WP visas were in-country FLRs.

In-country airport extension of student visa is considered as continuous. I expect an extension obtained abroad would be treated the same. It's just a matter of technicality.
