Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

This is a long shot but here we go: I was reading some UK citizen's application for Irish naturalization and he shared the timeline of events and how much each step took. He mentioned that first he got acknowledgement letter and 15 months later he got another letter saying his application is proceed...

Re: Gap in IRP renewal due to current delays

Few notes and suggestions below: 1. Add extra days before applying for citizenship, if you have missing 12 days, apply a month later so they won't send your application back with missing days. Waiting for an extra month won't hurt you, but will be safe play for your application. 2. Your IRP is consi...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2020 Pending Approval

For the applicants of September 2020, have you tried sending FOI request to see their progress? Or ask solicitor to send a letter threatening with going JR route? They will ignore you otherwise. That would be a good idea, but again it's MORE time. 6 weeks ago they said the next communication would ...

Re: LTR application question

I pushed them by sending a mail saying “do you need my new IRP card” (it was after 2 months of my application) after 1 month they replied to me saying “yes” (more details on earlier posts), I sent them a certified copy of it and a week later got the accepted letter. I sent them my question as normal...

Yes, actually I got the approval letter like a week ago, so now I need to pay. For me, it took 4 months (applied in February, got approval in June). They answer the questions via letter in a month or less.

Anyone that got acknowledgement letters recently did you get eVetting form with it? Or was it just the acknowledgement letter? I mean for the people applied after August 2021.

Re: Incorrect Address - Proof of residency

My solicitor wasn't keen on using GP bills with my previous address on it, I don't know if he used or not thou. You can still put them and include explanation in your cover letter that you forgot to update your address on your bank. Doesn't hurt to try I guess.

Regrettably, the current average processing time for naturalisation applications for minors is approximately 23 months.

It's the same time for adult's applications also, so not really surprising.

Re: EUT1A application, small address error on bank statements

At this point, it's too late to change anything. So just mention this in your cover letter. Don't cross out anything on any of your documents. Just explain, and see what they say. No need to get over worried up front.

Re: GNIB Card and Airlines

They can refuse your boarding for any reason, even because how you look at them. The only action you can take later on is file a complaint and get some money using websites like Resolver that guides you with air travel rules. So that's why you should be nice with this stuff, they can ruin your trave...

Re: GNIB Card and Airlines

This is useless. The whole process and treatment depends on the airline personnel. I have been questioned for things that no one cared before, or was told I can't do something that I am actually allowed to do. Long story short, just follow the rules and show whatever they ask for. Or they will just ...

Re: Petition to Introduce more citizenship ceremonies

I think instead of public or anonymous petitions there is higher chance to send an email to your local TD requesting more ceremonies. They might bring it up at parliament which will be directed to Justice Department, which will have more direct impact. Just google who is my TD and find your TD using...

Well it's good news for your friend but it's not really helpful for other people waiting for approval.
