Re: 2022 Naturalisation Application response

I am planning to send an email to Minister also, not asking about my application status of course as they direct you to ISD for that, but simply asking about how come they plan to make decisions on naturalisation applications in 6 to 9 months as minister tells, when they can't even send acknowledgem...

Re: 2022 Naturalisation Application response

Yes but they are child of an Irish parent, 2 person gave updates today one in 2021 thread (applied in November 2021) and other from 2022.

Earlier applicants from 2021 still didn’t get acknowledgement letter so I think child of Irish parents has high priority, even higher than EU applicants.

Re: Lost IRP Card

Current processing time for IRP renewals is 8-9 weeks and after you get email about approval it takes 2-3 weeks to print the card. Don't think anything can be done on attorney side. If you waited for more than 9 weeks, there was this complaint email address of justice department, someone could post ...

Applicant from November 2021 got acknowledgement letter so I really wonder if it's in chronological order or if there is a different system.

Re: IRP Renewal Timeline & Travel with Single Entry Visa instead of IRP?

You can try to apply to re-entry visa inside Ireland. If you apply from out of Ireland then it will take way too long, like 10 weeks+ to get any kind of visa that will let you enter Ireland.

One of my mates applied in Aug 21, got his passport and acknowledgement letter in Dec 21. So much for chronological order eh
Well known fact is CMU1 (non-EU) and CMU2 (EU and UK) has different queues and work loads. So it wouldn't be fair to compare non-EU and EU queue.

Re: 2022 Naturalisation Application response

I believe immigration system in Ireland (registration, renewals, naturalization everything) is super outdated and slow compared to rest of systems in Ireland, like health. Especially if you consider paying this much regularly to be registered/renewed. I can't imagine how things will move forward if ...

Re: E vetting and citizenship application

When filling eVetting form that you got by post (not the electronic one) do you need to provide copy of your passport page or get it notarised or approved from a solicitor/peace commissioner? Or is it a simple fill and sign form?

When you apply for citizenship just mention about the fine and add proof that you paid for the fine and it will be all good.

Re: Is it second stage letter?

That is the first letter aka acknowledgment letter. Applicant should already or soon should get eVetting letter. After eVetting is done and viewed give it few months and you should get the decision. I don’t think there is second letter anymore. It’s in the order of: acknowledgement, eVetting, pay th...

Re: 2022 Naturalisation Application response

It’s the day they send you acknowledgement letter. There are quiet a few reasons your application might get declined instantly, like older version of the form being used for application, not enough residency days, missing fields in the form that you had to fill. These are all considered when they se...

Re: Naturalisation Eligibility Criteria

If you were away for 2 months, then it should be residency days - 60 days and total should be still 5 years (1826 days or smth). After that when you apply, for the immediate year before, you shouldn't have more than 6 weeks absence. So if you apply in 27.04.2022, you shouldn't be out of Ireland for ...

If you check the threads in last 1-2 months, someone mentioned that if you change something on your WP application, it's better to apply from scratch instead of appealing it. So in your case, make a new WP application (Critical Skills or General) and start from scratch

Re: 2020 Citizenship Application not received eVetting request - while 2021 applications are receiving

Did you actually check the 2020 thread? eVetting is mandatory for applications from late 2020 and afterwards. So everyone applying in 2021 has to do eVetting but for 2020 applicants it's hit and miss. Nothing to worry about, just keep checking your inbox daily like you do to see if they will send yo...

Well it's basically acceptance to give permission ISD to do background check (eVetting) on you, when they do it is up to them, they are just asking for permission at first step.

For 2021 applicants that didn't get their acknowledgement letter yet (nowadays sent after 5 months after they sent their applications) do get their payment receipt + acknowledgement letter + evetting form all together. mainly because that means we don't have to pay the 300 EUR fee.
