Re: Dublin IRP renew timeline please

I didn't do the math (just add 10 weeks after your IRP renewal application) and if it's not before your travel date maybe you can try to apply for multi entry visa? You can show your plane tickets (and when you bought them) and maybe it might work? Just an idea.

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

Yeah I am surprised about it also, looks like it took around 15 month. As an applicant myself in November 2021, I still didn't get my acknowledgement letter

Re: How long does it take Gnib to arrive?

Does anyone else have any recent experience on how long the GNIB card took to arrive? We have my husbands renewal this weekend (outside Dublin) so we bring all the documents with us and get approval (or not) on the day. Normally its just 2 weeks after this for the card to arrive. We are traveling i...

Re: Dublin IRP renew timeline please

Please check Irish Immigration website: https://www.irishimmigration.ie/registering-your-immigration-permission/how-to-renew-your-current-permission/registration-renewal-dublin/ Registration Office, ISD is currently experiencing a high demand for online registration renewals. Please note that the cu...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

Is there a need/requirement to send latest IRP card to ISD after renewal with same conditions and just extended dates? I still didn't get acknowledgement letter so I don't know my application id or person id.

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

Here is the current rules for naturalization application: 1 year passes after your application, request FOI, this can be done by email and by yourself. Check what is achieved after 1 year. When your application is closer to 2 years, then find a solicitor so you can tell ISD that you will be going fo...

Re: How long does it take Gnib to arrive?

There is 1 station per area, for Cork city, it's Anglesea street. I don't know about rest of Cork county, but only 1 station is allowed per region to handle renewals and registrations. Story time: Before Covid hit it hard, I believe Irish government made a new deal for students in some countries (th...

Re: How long does it take Gnib to arrive?

All of the Ireland's IT systems are outdated, immigration, hospital etc. etc. They were supposed to upgrade their system really slowly but Covid hit it extra hard. This sentence is told to me by a commissioner of oath. And I %100 agree with it. Same reason we have to go to Garda station for renewal ...

Just be happy that you could renew at your local garda station, if you were in Dublin, it would be even more frustrating.

Re: Improved citizenship timelines in 2022? Bad sign...

This is not really related with naturalisation, but at this point Ireland can barely manage and handle immigration registration. Which is the most basic thing an immigrant needs to do legally yet it takes months to get an appointment, print registration cards or answer emails. State really love coll...

Currently naturalization website states 23 months as decision time for a straight forward application, that is the fact. Whoever tells what won't change the reality.

Re: E-vetting approved to approval of citizenship

For which year? Evetting is introduced recently, for applicants in 2020, only some of them got it and as far I remember it was 5-6 months after their evetting is viewed. For 2021, they already sent and viewed evettings for applications made in January February 2021. I think nowadays they are sending...

You need to get in contact with AnPost to verify your delivery. It will take way too long to hear back from ISD.

Re: GNIB Card and Airlines

Airlines do ask and have to ask for proper immigration permission, especially you are national of visa requiring country or departing from one. Airlines do get fined heavily if they bring passengers to the countries that they don't have valid permission to enter/stay. So they are super picky. As non...

Visit to Ireland

The same form asks for your travel dates to Ireland, so I assume you have some planned travel dates already, just book a hotel with cancellation option and you can change the details. You can see what is the estimated wait time for visa issue for the embassy you will apply to visa for.

Yes and you can use that number for the visa application. As far as I know you can't edit your application when you complete the form but you are free to fill more than one form.

Re: Continuous Residence in Year Preceding?

Especially with people who’s parents/families live across the world and going away for 20-21 days a time is valid. I wanted to see if it was absolutely strict or whether there was leeway in the matter, so your passive 6 week is 42 days, and this excludes the days you left and arrived to Ireland. So...

Re: Continuous Residence in Year Preceding?

I didn't suggest to leave country, I said if you want to travel and leave country freely you can still do so and just don't apply for citizenship. You being/not being Irish citizen doesn't change my point. If someone is looking to apply for Irish citizenship thru naturalization the 6 weeks rule appl...

Hi everyone, my husband has completed his required days of residency as the spouse of an Irish citizen, however in the last year he has left the country > 42 days. Even if he meets his days (+42+ additional days), can he still not apply until he’s at a point in time where he hasn’t left the country...

You need valid IRP card to travel to Ireland, no one checks for the stamps in your passport. Just be sure your IRP card is valid then all is good.

Re: Can I travel with just the stamp and no IRP card

I travelled from UK to Ireland by plane but don't actually remember if they checked my IRP card or not while boarding (it was Ryanair). Well you can ask to airlines and they will say no directly to not get into any risk of getting fined. You can try your chance also by risking but if they don't let ...

Re: Can I travel with just the stamp and no IRP card

No you can’t. You might (maybe) enter into Ireland but airline company won’t let you board on the plane without IRP card.
