Someday it will happen, hopefully. Just like the metro that will be built in Dublin in 2035? :D

Re: Why the wait before clarification attempt?

Sorry if I made it confusing :/ From what I understood, especially by looking at 2021 Thread. 1-) Yes 2-) yes 3-) Yes 4-) No. After 6 months of eVetting request you get "approved" mail and it takes a bit more time? (like 1-2 weeks after the approval letter I guess) to get certificate. Till...

Re: Why the wait before clarification attempt?

With the current timeline (in 2021 application thread), it takes around 1 year to get to eVetting step, and from eVetting topic, it seems after you approve the eVetting request, it takes 6 months to progress. Most of this timeline (1 year till eVetting and 6 months after eVetting) is caused by waiti...

Re: Change of Employer - Stamp 1

Hi, I am stuck in a similar situation waiting for my Stamp 4. I have applied for a Stamp 4 using the support letter received. Since the office is experiencing very high delays, my application has not been processed yet. I have resigned and am waiting to join the next employer. Now they have been co...

Re: Naturalization Application - Preparation Questions

Yes you should mention all your incidents including traffic offences in your naturalization application. Check this: https://www.immigrationboards.com/ireland/citizenship-application-traffic-offence-t314960.html This one is more severe but the idea is the same, all incidents, offences (either gone t...

Sorry, first time hearing about 10 weeks thing. And they actually think being away for 6 weeks per year is "generous". So I doubt they will change it to 10 weeks (but would be nice if they did).

Re: I have not received my reference number after 3 months

Hi I applied my irish citizenship by 5 years residency, sent my application forms on 02/11/2021, received my passport back 1 month later. I was told via phone call that I should get a reference number later, unfortunately there is nothing received since then. Is it normal? do I need to email them? ...

Re: Absence from State after Citizenship Application

Not sure what’s the big fuss about it, every calendar year between 1st of January till 31st of December you are allowed to leave İreland for up to 6 weeks. More than that, you need to explain why you are absent. Simple as that. So if you will be away more than 6 weeks just send them an email, simple...

Re: Previous Addresses - Citizenship Application

In the application it asks for 9 years, then for evetting it asks for your all of your past addresses. Well not sure what OP is expecting as an answer, don't think anyone can advise you to skip the addresses you don't remember or don't write some of them as it will be grand. Just try to give much as...

Re: Naturalization Application - Preparation Questions

That form is too complicated to be filled by PDF editor, I tried with Acrobat DC and it doesn’t recognize the fields and you have to create editable fields manually and it takes really long time. Just use traditional hand writing.

They are trying to figure out if ISD needs original of the passport or the copy, maybe someone will put clarification over there soon (hopefully)

3-4 days gap is too short to be a problem. I have gaps with 2 weeks between each and never had a problem, and wasn’t a problem with the citizenship application so far. So don’t worry.

Re: Action after citizenship granted

There are some countries that are in the flagged list or whatever they call it. So practically, if you are citizen of those non-EU countries, your application takes much longer, even there is no problem with your application. One of my friend's flatmate's application took around 3 years, before covi...

I applied using a solicitor, which is used by colleagues so I went there by reference. Gave the whole bunch of documents and answer to the questions and she did the rest. I just signed the last page of the form and that was it. I don't think there is any solid way to be sure that using solicitor mak...
