Re: Wife's Citizenship

Hiya,

Thank you for your response. I was trying to understand the guidance on the link below where it says if one has been in the UK for 3 years and married to a British Citizen they may be eligible to apply for citizenship:

Re: First adult passport queries

Thank you Mesn. That is a bit reassuring. What medical proof did you end up providing? My mother has a surgery lined up but that is back in Pakistan so I am not sure what evidence I would be able to provide but I can definitely look into it.

Re: First adult passport queries

Thanks TickTack for your response. I did try postponing my ceremony to which the council said that my certificate has already been issued and this expires on 12 July, so not really sure if this is an option that I can explore? Are they right in saying that there is actually an expiry date to the cer...

First adult passport queries

Hi Everyone, I hope you are doing well. I am in a bit of a fix and wanted to get input from experienced people here and would welcome any suggestions as well. My citizenship ceremony is on 1 June 2022 after which I should be eligible to apply for a passport. Initially I thought that I would be able ...

Biometric for naturalisation application

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to check with how long does one have to wait if after submitting my application I get a notification from UKVI that they are currently assessing whether my application can be progressed via the IDV app. It mentions whilst I am waiting for this I can't book a physical appoint...

Re: PBS Dependent Extension

Hmmm, that sounds a bit odd. Could anyone else confirm as well? I am currently on ILR (got it via Tier 2 route) and when I applied for my wife’s extension no biometric appointment sounds odd whereas, when a friend of mine recently renewed his Tier 2 visa along with the dependents they had to get bio...

Re: Visa extension for wife

Apologies for my ignorance. I got my ILR after spending 5 years in the UK working under a Tier 2 general visa. My wife got her PBS dependent visa under my 2nd Tier 2 general visa. Going back to my original question, wanted to know what application form should I use for the extension of my wife's vis...

Visa extension for wife

Hi Everyone, Hope you are all doing well. I have a couple of questions for my wife's visa extension. The circumstances are as per below: 1) She came to the UK when I was on Tier 2 visa and we applied for PBS Dependent Leave to Enter; 2) I was eligible ILR in February 2021 which I applied for and hav...
