Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

Hi everyone. Sorry, this isn't a joyous update where I can say a passport has been issued. I submitted my application in February, and it was confirmed they have my documents on 24th Feb. In April my application moved from "processing documents" to "processing application". My pr...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

I found that the tracking bar is inline with the estimated due date and not an accurate gauge for when you will get the passport. For example, mine kept ticking up until it got to 100% on my due date. Since I didn't get it by then, it automatically went backwards to about 75% and has stayed there. ...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

Hello everyone :) My application was submitted in February and it is listed as "processing application". I'm just wondering, does the status bar on the Passport tracking website actually move during the processing stage? I can't decide if it is my own wishful thinking that the bar seems to...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

My husbands first time Irish passport (done online) had an estimated date of the 28/1/22. Its now 4 weeks overdue. I am so nervous whether or not we should use the webchat to chase it up... I was fine before, as a few people stated theirs were 4 weeks or 5 weeks late. But now seeing people who appl...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

Hi, I got my passport at Christmas after ~10 weeks with no complications. I sent my original GB passport and it was returned promptly shortly after the passport arrived. I think you would be right to not expect your passport back much before May. The regulations I've read do say they would accept a...

At long last, I received that welcome confirmation of address email this morning. I am just hoping that Omicron doesn't put yet another hold on operations there. Congrats! I w...
