Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

... The estimated issue date is today and it’s still stuck on Processing. They haven’t indicated they need more documents. Or that there’s a problem with the photo. But I don’t think they’ve contacted our witness because he said he would let me know when he heard from them... Maybe the witness issu...

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

My issue date is 23 Sept and still even no change at all. My issue date is also 23 Sept and the tracking is still showing "verifying documents". I understand that they do contact the Gard for verification and that can lead to delays. Now (16/9/24) "Your application is being processed...

Re: June 2024 Citizenship Ceremonies naturalisation certificates

I received my certificate today. I'd asked the postlady yesterday if she could just put it through the letterbox if I wasn't in and she did just that.
My ceremony was in Dublin on 20th June.

Re: June 2024 Citizenship Ceremonies naturalisation certificates

..some of you have written to your TDs. Main TD for my area is Simon Harris - Any advice? Yes, phone Simon Harris' office and explain that you want to know what to do and request that they ask the Minister of Justice for a detailed response. You should get an email address so that you can send full...

Re: June 2024 Citizenship Ceremonies naturalisation certificates

There is a post on Facebook stating that a TD has received a reply that due to printer malfunctions it is expected that the certificates will arrive by post in the first week of September. If this information has gone to a TD then I think it is about time that the Minister of Justice arranged for al...

Re: June 2024 Citizenship Ceremonies naturalisation certificates

Here is a little update from last Thursday: https://www.oireachtas.ie/en/debates/question/2024-06-27/202/#pq_202 Hope they arrive soon! Thanks for that. I find it infuriating when the Minster of justice says "I am aware that following some previous ceremonies there were delays in certificates ...

Re: June 2024 Citizenship Ceremonies naturalisation certificates

Instead of asking for updates here would it be a better idea for us to ask our TD to question the Minister of Justice? If I remember rightly she did say that they had resolved the problem leading to printing delays. Whether or not the Minister of Justice is giving truthful answers I think it is wort...

So now that the June ceremonies are all done & dusted, can you post and let us know as soon as you get your certificate? Thanks!
The thread linked below might be the best place to track the receipt of Certificates?

Re: June 2024 Citizenship Ceremonies naturalisation certificates

The latest confirmation of registration emails said "Your certificate of naturalisation will be sent to you via registered post within a couple of weeks".
This is possibly more reliable than words from a politician?

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

TLDR: send in your original passport regardless of what the requirement is, especially if the Department of Justice issues your naturalisation certificate without a picture printed on it. If you need your original documentation/passport returned for urgent travel while your Irish one is being proce...

I received the same canned answer again today as I did two weeks ago. This just tells me they haven’t a clue when they will be issued, let alone posted. Dear Sir/Madam, I have been advised that certificates of naturalisation from the February ceremony will issue in the coming weeks. Unfortunately i...

I can't get my head around the email and diagram from Darragh Brennan, Head of Citizenship Division.
