So now that the June ceremonies are all done & dusted, can you post and let us know as soon as you get your certificate? Thanks!
The thread linked below might be the best place to track the receipt of Certificates?

Re: June 2024 Citizenship Ceremonies naturalisation certificates

The latest confirmation of registration emails said "Your certificate of naturalisation will be sent to you via registered post within a couple of weeks".
This is possibly more reliable than words from a politician?

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

TLDR: send in your original passport regardless of what the requirement is, especially if the Department of Justice issues your naturalisation certificate without a picture printed on it. If you need your original documentation/passport returned for urgent travel while your Irish one is being proce...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

I received the same canned answer again today as I did two weeks ago. This just tells me they haven’t a clue when they will be issued, let alone posted. Dear Sir/Madam, I have been advised that certificates of naturalisation from the February ceremony will issue in the coming weeks. Unfortunately i...

Re: Online Citizenship Application - Document Query

Q3. Alternatively, if I am submitting Bank Account Ststement, do we need to submit statement for 3 months with 3 POS (or ATM?) transactions only for each year? Vadrar's answer to #3 - 3 consecutive months per year and each statement should have at least 3 POS per month. ATM not relevant. Could I ch...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

I can't get my head around the email and diagram from Darragh Brennan, Head of Citizenship Division. The figures from Deputy James Browne last month were - 11,974 applications received in 2021 9,185 have received a decision to date 17,177 applications from 2022 4,074 have received a decision to date...

If you look at the email, there is a diagram (which is not readable easily). The diagram has 4 sections. The third section is for applicants who are in the process of their eVetting or finished it and waiting to get their acceptance letter. The fourth section is for people who have already paid the...

Re: Passport number changed during the process

I found this post elsewhere. It confirms that you don't need to advise a change of passport (just give the new passport details when appropriate). "my passport expired mid application [] but it didn’t cause any issues, given the new passport matched my name date of birth etc. I attended the Oct...

None for you; nonEU citizens would have to notify ISD. Oh, that's a relief, if so! Thanks for answering! So we're sure I won't be requested to prove that I am the one and the same? :) I might be wrong, give me a bit. UPD: you're okay; just checked my approval letter and there's no mention of passpo...

All I can assume is there is no accountability at that department... There should be a complaint procedure but I had a quick look at https://www.ombudsman.ie/ and followed the links to https://www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/2012/act/38/schedule/enacted/en/html#sched-part2 This appears to state that th...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

I stopped quoting others here as the scrolling was getting out of control :D I would encourage others to contact their TD's about these ceremonies. It's not much effort to send them an email and ask that this issue be brought up in debates with the MoJ. There's legislation that now supports this ve...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

Think it may be helpful if many of us who are still awaiting a decision writes to our TD for the need to push for naturalisation without the ceremony until at least the backlog is cleared. This seems to be a deliberate waste of resources and time. Well, I spoke with my solicitor about it, but she s...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

It will be interesting to know if those awaiting their certificates are counted as Irish citizens or not. I have taken this up with a TD as I suspect that the Minister of Justice will count the date of the ceremony as the date of Naturalisation. This would misrepresent the length of time it is taki...

I have a silly question. I have received NVB e-vetting on 27/Jul/23.. I filled and completed Yesterday.. what should I expect now? OR how much time NVB e-vetting takes? I think they publicly claim 10-12 business days, but obviously case-by-case it can change. At least you can track the progress in ...

Beside the terrible evetting figures that will never get a proper answer, I would like them to ask: 1. Why she won’t forgo the ceremonies, which is apparently now within the Ministers legal right to do. And 2. Why they won’t issue certificates at the ceremonies (if they insist on having them) as it...

the new applicants would be allowed to be absent from the country for 10 weeks (70 days) per application year (+ 30 additional days exceptionally)
I think that the changes with regard to being absent from the state may only apply to the calculation of continuous residence i.e. only the last year?
