Oh, to answer your questions :) He can financially look after me if he wanted to, but I'm not hopeful. And should he goes home I doubt he will send me anything. I don't actually want anything from him, just some peace, lol

Hiya, He's in S London, and I live in the South, We've lived apart for 12months now. Yes he's muslim, so am I. He does realise his mistake, and wants to put it right, however he deceived me from day one it seems, so the trust has gone on my part. I guess I shall never know what his intentions were/a...

He has just called me again:( Usual stuff, like he wants me to go and live in London again, and help with his restaurant. And lots more promises. I suppose he is getting worried about his legal status now, as he doesn't have much time left. I really don't understand him. But I've made it quite clear...

Hi Sam, My h is still contesting the divorce hence the slight delay. My solicitor is quite bemused by it all. I am still trying to get proof of the other marraige in Pak, though it appears I don't need it to proceed with the divorce. I didn't hear anything back from my local MP. I wrote again to the...

Hi singlemom Sorry to hear you have had problems with your husband. But your husband won't be allowed to stay here after his spouse visa expires. You can hope he goes home to visit, because then when he tries to re-enter, he will be stopped by immigration. The HO know you have withdrawn your support...

You dont need to do anything if you were truthful. Don't worry. If they investigate you, you have nothing to hide.

I have to agree with Frontier Mole, regarding the English language. It is vitally important that all persons coming to the UK can speak fluently enough to be understood by the Brits. I find those that speak over others converstations ill mannered, though often it is not meant to offend. But British ...

Hi there, Glad your parents are feeling more relaxed now. You sound OK too :) Yes, your solicitor will want to send a courtesy letter, to tell your wife you intend to divorce her, and that she needs to see a solicitor too. I'm surprised others feel you needn't start the divorce process yet. It is fo...

How would the HO know you are getting a divorce? Unless your spouse visa sponsor decides to tell them, and says you got ILR fraudulently. HO deal with immigration, not marital issues :) This issue may come up when the OP applies for naturalisation. Hmm, good point. Hadn't thought of that, Thanks :)

You can only inform the authorities about what has happened. As your sister-in-law is now divorced, he is allowed to apply for a spouse visa for his new wife. You cant stop that. But depending on what info the Indian authorities have on him, would perhaps help the Embassy decide whether to grant the...

Yes, I also understand you need to make your travel arrangements, tell the HO the date you are leaving, then the passport is at the airport.

Hi there, You should chase the solicitor and see whats taking so long. The initial paperwork for the courts are not difficult, and can be done in minutes in his office. He only needs your signature and then it is sent off. As for your wife getting ILR. Thats not possible. You have withdrawn your sup...

Majorproblem, can you give some more info please so we can offer the right advice? Does your sisters husband have ILR yet? Is he currently on a spouse visa? Has your sister started divorce proceedings? Sadly, this kind of story is quite common. You can read my story. sakura has posted the link for y...

By the way, Catholic men can only have one wife. Unless the guy A is mormon, we would have to conclude that he is muslim. Thanks

I have to say I have every sympathy for the poor UK wife, who is subjected to this. She probably converted to Islam, and think this behavior is allowed. It most certainly isnt. Wish she would come here herself then I could talk to her. She probably became muslim on marriage. She must be in an awful...

I guess the reason why plural marriage has become an issue here, is because the OP wants help to sort out the living arrangements for his 2 wives. He can be totally genuine with his intentions, none of us really know. But what I dont understand is why does he choose Greece for the 2nd as he works in...

Hi there, My initial reaction is that you are the applicant, not your wife, so it would make no difference. Any way, Northern Ireland is still part of the UK. All it seems to mean is that your wife has changed your address. You can notify the HO that she has moved. I cant see any immediate problems ...

If your friend wants to try on a dependents visa, he must be truthful and say he has 2 wives. I'm sure the papers would ask if he has got dependents elsewhere, so cant see how he can do it, unless he lies.

You have absolutely no idea what I've been through. But perhaps you can help. When my divorce is finalised your friend can marry me. I would be considered an orphan, and he wouldnt have to travel far. :D
