Re: Directive 2004/38/EC (FLR refused in UK)

Thanks, bud, for replying, Point 1 We are an opposite-sex couple who did a civil partnership due to religion. She is a hardcore Christian, and I'm Muslim, but I respected what she believed in and didn't want her to change or anything. Point 2 We live together and have all the stuff sorted, so we can...

Directive 2004/38/EC (FLR refused in UK)

Hi Guys, This is not easy, but I have to try it. Everyone has different views, and I respect that. I really do. I can see that point of view and understand how it looks. Overstayers moving etc I've never taken benefits, and I will never. Honestly, I've got two hands and two legs to work. Even as an ...

Re: FLR FP (Refused 3rd May 24)

Forgot,

- If i go back to Pakistan and apply we won't meet the financial requirement now! That is another issue which we had to consider we managed to apply before the salary threshold got increased.

Re: FLR FP (Refused 3rd May 24)

Hi ALKB, You made valid points. But we went through literally or most likely every point that you raised before we made the FLR FP application. It was a lot of money spent, so we had to make sure we were doing the right thing. First Point - Renting in Pakistan with no support and then getting stuck ...

Re: Immigration advice please urgently

do you know anyone that have done your recommendation and application was successful through spouse visa My route was student visa -> overstay of over 10 years -> marriage -> successful Spouse visa application (FLR(FP)). The positive decision came surprisingly quick (I was expecting a battle). I di...

FLR FP (Refused 3rd May 24)

Hi All, Unfortunately, the bad news is that my application, submitted on 4th Feb, was refused within 3 months or so! This is obviously quite a setback and has me stressed. So, I hope you guys can give me options and also tell me if the appeal in court worked for other cases similar to my case. Note:...

Re: FLR FP Article 8

Hi Frontier, - Correct on the first point regarding the timeline. This email just gave me a bit of a whirlwind! - So EUSS was rejected due to eligibility, not suitability, which HO confirmed. We weren't married before Brexit day, which was the issue even though we had two years of cohabitation. - Th...

Re: FLR FP Article 8

Apologise just posting HO email which raises further questions: Thank you for submitting your application for Leave to Remain as a spouse. We are currently assessing your application. We are unable to conclude the application at this time, as we require additional information. Please could you prov...

FLR FP Article 8

Hi All, - Are there any success stories where the FLR FP application (first time) was decided well before the 12-month timeline? - Also is it normal for HO to misplace documents? As i got an email from them asking for consent forms which were all in the bundle properly labelled and page numbered. Th...

Re: Immigration advice please urgently

Hi Bud, I'm on the same path as Frontier mentioned above, There is no guarantee you need to drill that in your mind so you don't get disappointed. You can put all evidence or the whole world in an application but if the case worker feels he/she/they have discretion to refuse the application just on ...

Re: safeguard and support email from HO

DO NOT REPLY TO THE EMAIL - this is not a normal e-mail and the Home Office does not routinely contact Doctors. Not their role and they would need your formal consent to contact the Doctor Hi Frontier, After your red flag, I checked with the solicitor team, And they showed me that it came from a le...

Re: safeguard and support email from HO

Apologise, I should've put an extract of email: Email Received: Thank you for your application for leave to remain in the UK as a spouse. We are wanting to safeguard and support yourself and your partner. In order to do so, we require the following information: - How is your current mental health? -...

safeguard and support email from HO

Hi All, I received this email from HO yesterday and wanted to know if it's normal, as I've never heard from anyone before that they have received it. - Plus, Obviously, the question is, do they even help, or is it just a standard tick-box formality? - Does it indicate what stage my application will ...

Re: Appeal Skeleton submitted : No response from HO

- What was the refusal? (You need to give complete information; otherwise, it is impossible to provide sound guidance, as you stated that they refused within 1 week of submission. - Unfortunately, there are no good or bad signs. It all depends on what documents and evidence you have submitted to sat...

Re: Overstayed but now applying spouse visa within the UK

There is a distinct difference from historically being an overstayer and a current overstayer. If you mean you have been an overstayer for 4 years and currently remain as an overstayer that is distinctly different to was an overstayer 4 years ago but gained leave thereafter. Do you currently have l...

What is your current leave or visa that you hold, presume you have statistics hence why HO did not interfere with your getting married in UK after ...

Re: FLR FP Route (Proof of application)

Hi @Frontier Mole You're spot on. Indeed, we did go through the Registry office, and HO allowed us to go through civil partnership within 2 days of lodging our intentions to partner (2 days doesn't matter, I know). We also didn't have any religious ceremony. Increasing probability sounds good, but o...

Re: FLR FP Route (Proof of application)

Hi Both, I much appreciate your input. @meself2 Yes, I put in FLR FP while I'm an overstayer, so I do get your point that I won't have the rights. So the follow-up question would be: - What if they detain me? Is that possible? They can say you don't have any rights regardless of your application to ...
