Thanks for replies.

What did the JR say about those who got on HSMP between 3rd April - 7th Nov 2006? I thought JR was only for those who applied before 3rd April 06 which means they only needed 4 years to be eligible to apply for ILR. Does this only concern the LIUK test, which those group are exempted from? Can someo...

If you were issued leave to enter (as a WP holder), then your ILR clock started on the day you entered UK. If you were issued leave to remain as a WP holder, then your ILR clock started on the date of issue of the LTR. Assuming you switched to HSMP while you were in UK with a valid leave to enter/r...

Oh sorry, did not mention that bit. I was in the UK already prior to that and WP was issued as LTR, and then I switched to HSMP straight from WP.

if your IELTS score is above 6.5 it would be acceptable regardless if its date. This issue has been discussed before, and many have already contacted BIA and got the same reply, so I think you should not worry about an expired IELTS as long as your score is >= 6.5 I know its been confusing for many,...

the rules changed between april and nov 2006. however, all new rules at that time came into force on the 5th dec 06, and there was a period when HSMP applications ceased for few weeks....
therefore, there are HSMPs prior, and HSMPs after that date.

i have already checked this link, and the case worker guidance was last updated in jan 08, and its still mentions IELTS band of 6... I am afraid this is an old guidance and it should be updated.
