Cheers for your reply.

I have decided to send both passports, as I'd rather send something extra even if it was ultimately considered not required.

Thanks again.

Hello there Just filling in the british passport application and despite reading some threads here still a little bit confused to whether or not I should inculde in the application my cancelled (not only expired but marked cancelled also) passport with which I first entered the UK many years ago, as...

Re: Date of first arrival and other queries - Form AN

1. Date of first arrival: I read few similar questions but still not clear on this. I lived here since Feb2004 but was on visitor/academic type visa, until I got WP Feb06 then progressed via HSMP route and finally ILR Feb11. All in country switch. So although I first arrived here in Feb04 but was o...

Thanks for your reply. 1. So date shall be Feb04 even if I was on a non-qualifying category i.e visitor etc? 2. Thanks. So no need for signature really. 3. More like drawings rather than monthly salary so will provide HMRC letters just in case. 4. Cheers again. Sounds good to know you get everything...

Why your employer would not give you a letter, providing you are still employed by them when the application is due? You can use employment contract backed by payslips etc. Remember all this is a variation, as technically speaking the guide does not state the need for this letter per se, but I guess...

Yes. Just stating return of documents. Thanks for reply. So I guess its the same everywhere, although I previously thought they will issue a letter as immigration status document with ILR or something similar, but I guess that is not the case. Anyway, I think its best to keep scanned copy of stamp ...

hiya and well done for your sucess do you know where they made the brief phone call ? No idea. I could only hear my details and type of application given over the phone that's all. I am surprised as to why they asked for an employer letter as you have been on HSMP and Tier 1.? I am currently workin...

Congrats ice.blade on joining the club.

Can I just ask whether the letter you were given, stating anything to do with ILR approval, or just a generic letter similar to what I received stating return of documents and to check stamp in passport?

Re: ILR success - SET(O) Solihull

Thanks and no worries at all, glad you guys found it useful. Was wondering though if anyone has a view on the point below? There was a letter too, but to my surprise, it only stated that an application for extension of stay was made, and to check the endorsement in passport, however there was no men...

This is to answer some query I received. I ticked option 9G in section 9 as advised by some here. I think though ultimatlely it does not matter, as in real terms the documents to be supplied are similar, and it becomes less important when you go for premium service/PEO. But for those sending applica...

ILR success - SET(O) Solihull

Hello to everyone. First of all, I want to thank everybody here for the enormous help, contribution, and useful advice. I wanted to share the experience of my recent visit to the PEO in Solihull. My case was a combo of WP(1yr)+HSMP(2yrs)+ HSMP extension to tier1(2yrs). I arrived an hour early in an ...

SET(O) Section 9G/9H, any consensus?

Hello My question is for those who applied for ILR and had their HSMP approved between April-Nov2006. Any general agreement regarding which option to go for in Section 9, as 9G only states HSMP/5yrs, and 9H is for those before April2006 where the 4 yrs rule applies. 9L seems even more confusing, as ...

Thanks nksg

I think the HSMP JR is the right option to tick on the form in this case. I also was already planning to take a copy of the JR regarding LIUK exemption just in case.

Will hope for the best and thanks again for your help.

Couple of queries - filling in ILR SET(O) form

Hello there Just been filling in form SET(O) as applying for ILR shortly and have a couple of questions. My stay consists of 1year WP, then HSMP (approval letter Oct06 / application between April-Nov 06) so covered by JR (still requires 5 yrs but not LIUK test), then after 2 yrs extended HSMP to tie...

I was wondering about this too, as I got my initial HSMP approval letter on 30th Oct 06 hence I actually fall in the JR for LIUK, however I am still in 2 minds whether to apply without it or get it over and done with, as will be applying for ILR in Feb11. I might pop down to the local exam centre an...

xyz123 cheers for your reply. Glad to know plenty of appointments available, will start checking from mid Dec10. Thinking of applying for ILR in Feb11, couple of queries

Hello guys, Starting to gather documents/evidence as will hopefully be applying for ILR in Feb 11, based om WP(Feb06-Oct06) then HSMP 2+3(Oct06-Dec11, but by Feb11 should complete 5 yrs then). Wondering if some of you can help with couple of things just to confirm my thoughts: 1. How far in advance ...

Annual police registration !!!
