ILR, ESOL Entry 3 and British Citizenship test

just a quick question if someone is doing ESOL entry level 3 and has passed it does this mean they have to to the british citizenshiop test also. or is it fine if they have one or the other when they apply for their indefinate leave to remain.

okay.......cool thanks all for replying. lets say that he does nor return after hsi visa expire will they come and check up on him. will they approach his psonsor. or will they just not be bothered

sorry was meant to say that even if the person sponsoring can show he has met the requirement and the person being sposnored cant show anything in favour of himself such as qualification, skill, knowledge of the english lanaguage etc etc

well suppose they do call him for an interview. will they expect him to show them some kind of language skill, evidence of qualification if he has any.........or is just the case that if the sposnorcan meet the requirements even though the person who is being sponsored can show anything in favour of...

well yeah i see what you mean and agree with you. but i think the rules where they asses you in terms of skills and qualifications have not come into effect. as this is only a visit visa they wont call him in for an interview will they.....

okay but the person applying for himis in full time emplpyment but also has his own outgoings like rent, bills etc......................plus the person who is being applied for has not formal education, no speaking of the language and no skills really.

Citizenship test question

Hi. if my wife passes the citizenship test lets say in december this year. can she apply for her ILR and the same time or does she have to wait until she is coming up to the end of her 2 year spouse visa.

she came here end of march so if she passes in december can she apply then.

okay cool. well pfrom what i could make out last time it was initially refused from lack of unds and they are this time applying once agin but the son is making the application and in terms of his saving he doesnt have much around 500-600.

what are the new rules that will come into effect and when?

Hi. i am posting this on behalf of someone else. the question is as follows. my freind wanst to sponsor his nephew to come over from to the united kingdom. he has tried to sponsor him once before but it was rejected and from what i know they appealed and i am pretty sure that the appeal was rejected...

well yeah i reckon if my wife reads the book religously for around 3-6 months she will pass it. well after reading it yesterday froa few mins she knows the minimum age for buying alcohol and the minimum age for buying tobacco and also what happends on valentines day and other bits and bobs

her reading is good, comprehension is good and speaking is getting better and better by tghe day. she has only been her three months and already we have basic conversations inenglish. she has textbooks that she works from etc...

lol. well she has her own bank account, electricty bill is on her name, im gonna make our natwest our account a joint accont. water, gas, and council is on my parents name as its their house...
