Re: Proof of living in the UK for refugee applicants

But the thing is I made my last trip in May 2016 and never left the UK after. That makes it full 6 years without travelling outside the UK. I have not mentioned any trips in the application. They only asked me if I made any trips in the last 5 years and I have not.

Hi Ticktack and just to double check those Travel Docs also should go in the list? Asking cause I somehow thought they were not immigrational applications but I may be wrong as I do not know the law.

Re: Second referee profession

Well his profession is not listed there I saw only 'teacher, lecturer'. Hence I am asking would Director of a Community Preschool be okay for reference? I believe he used to work as a teacher too but right now his job title is that one.

Second referee profession

Hi everyone, I'm doing British Citizenship application. My second referee has to be a person who has a professional standing. A friend of mine agreed to be my second referee. He is a Director of a Community Preschool. Is that okay to put him in the profession field? His profession is accepted?

Re: Does Refugee Travel Document considered as 'previous immigration application'?

Just guessing, but TD is similar to a passport, and is issued based on your status in the UK. Also like a BRP - so not in itself immigration applications, and BRP are considered imm. applications. Sorry meant "and BRP are NOT considered imm. applications." Hmm.. does that mean I only need...

Re: Civil Penalty for working while on benefits. Will it affect citizenship application or NO

Note that ILR is an application (the last available) under the immigration regulations - naturalisation is under the British Nationality Act with it's own requirements. It's a discretionary application, from both the viewpoint of the applicant (you don't have to have it) and the government (they ma...

Re: Civil Penalty for working while on benefits. Will it affect citizenship application or NO

Dang, that's really sad.... Strangely, it has not been an issue when I applied for my ILR in 2019 they granted me one after my first one (5 years) expired but I applied with my solicitors help that time so maybe that's why...not sure. Thanks for the warning. Now I'm gonna keep looking for more...

Civil Penalty for working while on benefits. Will it affect citizenship application or NO

Hi, I am sad to state I'm guilty of not telling the DWP for doing some paid job in 2015 for which I have been issued a civil penalty and the amount of overpayment to pay (around £1000+-). I was not tried for this in court or anything like that. Did not mean to cheat but my ignorance and negligence. ...
