I searched this board and couldn’t find just what I was looking for. I imagine this question is common so I apologize for the redundancy. I was originally told that once married in the USA all I needed to do was take the required documentation to the NYC British consulate and get my spousal visa. ...

I saw your response in my benifits thread... again you help and I apreciate that. I just want to do whats right and not put my fiancee under any stress...

That being said... WOW $1050 it costs for a spousal visa!

Of cource we don't... hell we just get kicked out on the streets. There will be a time lapse between when we are married and when I can get there with my spousal visa, This is what I am most concerned about. She has 2 children... I just want to be sure they don't take it away before I can get there....

I appologize if my posts came off as redundant but I was trying to follow the forum rules by not adding personal family issues to work related threads. I was asking about benifits in this case... I just added my job search issues to help paint a picture of my situation.

I wont be on any visa... My plan is to look for employment to obtain a work permit while in the UK. I have heard that is much easier compared to trying to secure work via phone and internet.
