Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

Quick question to whoever got their cert - were there any writings on an envelope in the sense of "don't bend"? Got a bulky package in the post recently and it was horrendously twisted - hopefully certificate won't be that big. No nothing as you said. It was a brown envelope and Certifica...

Re: Citizenship E vetting Ireland

Why do you think its so special for pakistan nationals? Is it not the same like everyone else? Its absurd to say, quote ( "especially for pakistani" ) NVB is only a permission form for garda vetting. You should expect an invitation email within 6 to 8 weeks. Your previous HCA vetting was f...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

This is very helpful, 2 questions regarding this; - Is original passport mandatory? Application cover page says it is not, confirmation email says it is :). Also the webpage says it is not mandatory if you send the copy of PSC card. (I cannot send my passport, I have mandatory trips in August and S...

Re: Passport Application 2023(laminated birth cert)

Laminated documents are not accepted because they cannot be scanned in their scanner. If i were you i would have a colored photocopy certified by a solicitor or even Gardai. You should see the list of people on DFA who can certify your documents. Of course you can also write a supporting letter expl...

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

The copy of your card does need to be certified by the witness. Any source to support your statement? If they do require the PSC card to be certified by someone than does that mean the DFA website is giving false information ? https://www.dfa.ie/passports/documentary-requirements/anadult/firsttimea...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

By the way people with "Disclosure Viewed" better get their approvals next week as the ceremony is only a few weeks away.

Maybe write to the minister and request for a decision unless the case is not so straightforward or any background checks pending !

griffith2 Thanks a lot! Do you have any solicitor to recommend me, please? (DM) The boards rules does not let anyone do this. Hire any competent solicitor. What the letter about 12 weeks? It was with evetting (paper) or e-vetting (email)? In the acknowledgement letter (dated November 2021), it said it is the process take 12 months from this point. We done FOI, and it was useless October 2022. When you mean fight, do you recommend do anything right now...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

Yes agreed. There was a case where the department replied after 2 years that your file is with the minister and a decision is yet to be taken and they took further 1 more year to issue an approval. The same guy was vetted twice in 3 years. At the end of 3 years an approval was issued after the minis...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

We will talk in a few days. At this stage an intelligent and clever would tell their solicitor to write to the minister and get an approval and speed up the process for the upcoming ceremony rather than sitting home and waiting for an approval! I did the same by the way. Solicitor wrote a letter and...
